  1. Realistically, they're the only people that are really going to be able to get something like this produced in volume and what could be considered 'a reasonable cost'. There is no market over here, well there is, but not one enough to make things affordable. They may even still have access to any available US stock which is stock that UK suppliers and Nissan UK can not physically see. Nissan UK draws from Amsterdam which in turn will draw from Japan. Now Japan have phased out a lot of Z32 components already, the US still has substantial component availability for the Z32.
  2. This! I was following an old 406 yesterday doing this and it drove me up the bloody wall! lol
  3. I am over at Z1 Motorsports again over the Christmas period, I'll have a chat with the guys there about body panels. Agreed that the majority of their cars do not experience the same harsh conditions as UK cars. Even cars from the north of the US have often spent their lives in a number of states, so exposure to harsh conditions is less generally, but there are rusty Z32s out there and the catchment is huge, so it might be worth looking at a limited production run of sills and wheel arches. I must say, I see a LOT less rotten ones in the US, but I tend only to visit southern midwest, desert and south western states where rainfall is generally less and their winter months either shorter or totally non-existent. I am sure up by the Great Lakes and the northern US states, there are plenty of rotters.

  5. Pretty sure that's only the case when you're aligning a stock prop with the carrier bearing still in situ.
  6. Amen dude, amen! It's a sad truth that one; it is ALWAYS the strange ungainly stuff that's available and popular. Maybe it's because of lack of choice as I can't see that many people have bad taste (yes, I know, taste is very much 'subjective'). I have never worked out why the nice stuff was always hard to get, yet stuff like the wings west petticoat bodykit was as easy to source as a tin of beans. Escort Racing in the US or someone like that make fibreglass hatches and doors. Jaffa has these items on his Z. I wouldn't bother unless you're building a track or 1/4 mile weapon though. I certainly wouldn't want GRP doors on a road car without a multipoint roll cage (which I'd really only bother with on a track - the weight you take out of a door, you'd end up putting in a cage anyway). GRP doors hold as much structural integrity as a digestive biscuit. Also, GRP fit and finish is never that great. Like I said, awesome for a track car though.
  7. Dave, it could be shagged gearbox mounts or differential bushings. A key upgrade when fitting a single piece prop is to fit the NISMO transmission mount as stock ones can sag over time.
  8. Can't imagine I'll EVER need them, but agreed, it would good to have an aftermarket source as these cars continue to get older and turn back to the ferrous ore from whence they came!
  9. Sounds like you have a slight leak in your heater matrix. Does it smell a little musky? You could try a matrix bypass to see if that corrects it.
  10. I'd rather eat a Proton Impian.
  11. My Z is one of the oldest cars I've owned. Most of my cars are between 1 and 5 years old, so mine to me feels like an old friend as I've had it for such a long time. But this S30 is like a piece of antique furniture and it just oozes personality and character. The smells, the noises and the feel, nothing else I've driven seems close to it and I've driven some pretty crazy and extremely expensive machines in my time.
  12. To drive it is PURE joy and Kenny is the first person to hand over the keys when I turn up at his house. It's raw and so much fun! Never driven anything quite like it.
  13. I absolutely LOVE the S-Class chassis cars. Here's the one I get to drive in California. It's a 240z with a 260z engine and huge Holley carbs + a lairy cam. It is about as quick as a stock Z32 TT as it's all stripped out too. Can't wait to drive it again over the winter. So much fun and the attention it gets is just awesome!
  14. Your front arches will need working with that offset and width - quite a bit I'd say - almost as much as the rears will! This is a +20 with an 8.5" wheel....
  15. Silly buggers! :p
  16. Oh I am sorry Terry Nutkins. :p
  17. Thanks Gary! My monkey made a return too. :)
  18. I still have the first lot! Ha. Must find a place for them.....not on the car though. :)
  19. Looks like I am a fully fledged member again. I did select renewal as I am a returning member and don't require a membership pack. I guess this is ok? Paid via PayPay : 1W2439906P356460N Thanks to Richard and the committee for having me back. :)
  20. Yeah, e-marketing and pro-activity will boost if they're not activities the incumbent has performed. Have you got savings and/or additional income? 38% gross with a turnover of £70k isn't a lot. Good luck though, I'd love to run my own business. :)
  21. What's the turnover currently?
  22. I don't think my insurance has ever gone up since I've been driving.
