Depends. If you have big SMICs, then yeah, scoops are best. If you have scabby fog lights, then go for it. If you have new fog lights, I'd say keep them.

New fog lights look very fresh and clean.

Hmmm - tricky.....

....Personally I prefer the look of the fog lights over the ducts. But if you really need the function of the ducts - like piping cool air to the brakes or, as Si says, big intercoolers, then function over appearance. But for appearance, then I reckon stick with the lights.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

the issue I have a uk car the side lights and indicator are were the fog lights would be .so I will be fitting the side lights in the 99 spec indicator along with the indicator its self .I have no wiring for fog lights

In that case mate - I'd just leave things as they are. Clear out the orange in your UK spec indicators (as I have done) and pop them into the 99-spec where the fogs would go - then leave the 99-spec corners blank just like they are on a UK spec bumper....

....Unless you want to buy a pair of J-spec fogs and wire them in properly....

In that case do the modification - and buy some US spec fogs. They are cheaper than the J-spec ones (as they don't have built in side lights) and wire them in as proper fog lights!!

US Spec fog lights are actually identical, well, when I say identical, visually they are. It's actually only the reflector that's different. You only need the lens which comes with the reflector, the main plastic base unit from JDM lights can be used. My fog lights are US spec, but I removed the US reflector and refitted my JDM reflector. Stupidly, I threw away the US ones. I wished I hadn't as I'd quite like my side lights in my S2 indicators now! Doh!

Ducts for me

I like the duct to to cant make up my mind

The fog light switches in JDM and UK cars are in the same location. The icon is different on each though, so you'd have to fit an auxiliary switch so that you can operate them independently.

I see so in the jap car it turns the rears and front fog on and the uk car just the rear fog

A pic for inspiration :)

that looks good

Personally I prefer the Ducts. I find the fogs a bit dated looking.

Move the side lights to the indicator housing.
