what the max widest for a 18incj 8.5 j wheel
245 IMO. It gives you a completely flat tyre wall on an 8.5, any wider and the tyre will roll round on the rim too much and will look a little donut-ish! My fronts are 8.5" wide with a 245, I'd not go any wider. Narrower and you start getting stretch...yuk!

Certainly not on my list of desirable accessories! Can't imagine there are too many ski slopes in Queensland!

a very sad day
Gutted. This EXACTY thing happened to me the day I collected my Z (wet road). No experience of the car, let alone in the wet. Luckily I managed to regain control. Never drive in the rain or winter now. Sorry that yours was the first of the season to go to Z heaven. Sadly, it'll unlikely be the last. Stay safe peoples....or keep the Z in the garage.

Trying to get in touch with Noz (Noel)
You could try Facebook. See him 'like' or reply to things on PowerZed. You could even post something on PowerZed as Jim and Noel work closely on some projects they do for people.

a very sad day
So how did it happen?

I'm not used to this......
I replaced mine. Got it free from a friend in the US (they're plentiful over there as Nissan had cars with an S1 PTU back on recall to fit S2 PTUs) and managed to pick up a brand new OEM harness adaptor on ebay for £15. Thought it silly not to change for so little. I never had any issues with mine though and I haven't heard of anyone having issues with them for a while. I think S1 PTUs get more of a rap than they deserve.

Wound isn't weeping right now. Will give her a few more days and will then take her in to get a lampshade I think. Will dab salty water for those few days. She's not at it all the time with the wound thankfully, but she's had a bit of a gnaw!- Double garage sizes
THIS! The bigger the better! If I had my way and the inclination, my garage would be waayyyy bigger than my house!- Got a kitten - bloody thing has chewed all of its neutering stitches out!
Hello Basil! *depth of sympathy noted! lol- my ams over flow tank
You can get it through the car. There's a large grommet at the bottom of the wheel well (behind the splash guard. You can run the cables along either the sill or alongside the transmission tunnel.- Got a kitten - bloody thing has chewed all of its neutering stitches out!
No. I don't think they give cats flowerpots for neutering? Maybe I'm wrong. I didn't get her neutered. All looks ok, it's not pink and sore as such, the skin is regular colour, just looks a little deep. Maybe it's scar tissue.- Got a kitten - bloody thing has chewed all of its neutering stitches out!

I know, I was being sarcastic. AMS fitment isn't best known...for its fitment. ;) Hope it goes on OK. You could put the battery in the boot area and put the PAS reservoir up where the battery was.- Got a kitten - bloody thing has chewed all of its neutering stitches out!
Anyone had much experience with kittens? I've had cats before, but usually adult cats. I've got this cute little dot of a thing who was neutered last week, all went well, but last night she thought it was an awesome idea to chew all of her stitches out. Now, she's not drawn blood, but it looks pretty tender there. It doesn't appear to have gone septic just yet and when she wakes up later, I'll dab in some salty water. Just wondering, is this a regular occurrence, those that have had any dealings with kittens? She's a house-cat, for now, so she's unlikely to get it infected from outside sources and my house is squeaky clean.- my ams over flow tank
Hope it fits!! lol ;)- We are Back !!
....I didn't even notice! *hides*- I'm not used to this......
Sorry to hear that Rich. Fortunately, I haven't had to call the AA/RAC/Greenflag out for bloody years. I can't even remember when I did. Gotta have been over a decade ago now. Yeah....these are probably famous last words!- a very sad day
Sorry to hear Dave. Least you're still here! I am sure you'll see yourself to getting another one.- under bonnet insulation?
Haha! Yeah!- while shes tucked up this winter, what will you do to her?...
While my Z is in the garage for the winter, absolutely nothing. :) It'll need some suspension work at some point, but I'll do that at Jimmer's when I tax it at the end of next spring.- under bonnet insulation?
Nope....and again, this is another reason why bonnet vents are pointless. The Z32 engine bay is designed as a low-pressure area with seals around it. As you drive along, the hot air gets pulled out from the bottom of the engine bay area. The insulation is there more to do with sound deadening. I personally wouldn't remove it if it's already on there. I fully intend on refitting mine when I can find a tidy one. I also think it looks a little better WITH one. Looks a little poverty-spec without.- under bonnet insulation?
I removed mine for repaint, damaged it in the process and have been hunting around for a good replacement since, so far, I haven't found one that is good enough to fit, but as a result, I've not had one fitted. My paint is new, so more sensitive to temperature, added with 40 degree heat in the south of France - no blistering. Maybe it will over time, but so far, so good. Not good though as I want the insulation back on it! I'll find a tidy one some day. :) - Got a kitten - bloody thing has chewed all of its neutering stitches out!
