  1. its a genuine r32 both very close friends of mine he was pretty cheesed off as he has only had the gold a few weeks. its got an audi engine under the hood putting aroung 250bhp on the deck mated with some short ratio box. it keeps up with the zed till about 60 then its slowly disappears much to his disgust, i think once im upped on boost and converted to manual il eat him alive
  2. ah yeh as i said it murdered me, not as badly as i thought though. and he was definatly gunning it. i dont recon a 400ish bhp zedw ould beat it but i think it was upset a brand new r35 owner with how it doesnt just disappear. im pretty impressed how a 20 year old auto performed in comparision in fairness and its a true statement for how good these cars are, they really have stood the test of time. i really dont think the same will be true of the 350.
  3. really my mate has a mk4 one he raced my mates hybrid sicrocco and lost, i raced teh sicrocco and won.
  4. :( lets hope some sort of tax comes out making them cheap to have a second car but very exopensive as a first car.
  5. please consider the darkness of the tint first and dont even bother with the fronts, it makes teh zed such a pain in the ass to drive a night, nighttime parking is awful.
  6. anyone recon they will drop to about 10k in about 10 years time?
  7. alz whats the deal with you and these brackets lol have you ended up witha bag of 100 or something
  8. oh thats a familar comment, apart from teh earning lots of money bit lol
  9. tahst the trouble i guesss you assume there standard, pretty sure that one was else i would have disappered with my measley 300bhp and grannie box combo. first time ive seen one punch it. im starting to like them more and more, i met one of the nissan chaps teh other day he said they are depreating really bad.
  10. any idea of the quality of these jeff as the japspeed ones seem to be perminatly out of stock, oh and you have pm.
  11. i did and guess what it ate me alive, im sure had we both taken off at teh same time rather than him shooting offa nd me trying to catch up it may well of been slightly coler run, but damn they move! i do however think from that little experiment that a lightly modded 300 running around the 380 bhp range could keep up if not over take in a straight line, as although i never gained on him i also didnt disappear into the rear veiw mirror. quite surpruised how well an 21 year old auto kept up with a 50k supercar. he still had me though, obviously this was a lovely track session, and much more fun was had. :D
  12. the manual box doesnt use the box cooler. depending on wether its uk spec or jap spec you ill have differnt configurations. japspec its simply a loop through the rad on the right hand side and you stand infront of it, about half way down. uk spec it passes through to under the air filter, where there is a small oil cooler situated. its all upto you matey, if your switching over to the manual box the simply delete it at source, its not required. as alan said go for an aftermarket rad for safety and reliabilty, teh oem one is adequte at best, esp if your running higher boost etc. good luck with it. hopefully you wont end up with what i found, which is taht it was running through the rad and cooler in series, the problem there being the cooler being used was my engine oil cooler. one very well ciooled box, one hella hot engine.
  13. agreed they dont want to play and they in general dont catually know hat our car is bcause thyre not normally car people, its just a sports car to them. tahts why its all the more satisfying to waste them.
  14. speak to manta or jamie they have made them fit i didnt bother, when we had a meet a few months back i was saying i wasnt 100% happy with the fitment but as ultimateray and hellraiser said at the time im just being over picky. a few people have commentated on the issue though. it really isnt anything bad. have a look for the thread with my new back end you will see them on.
  15. both manata and myself have the clear ones. but manta has made them fit i havent lol.
  16. yeh well its upto you really, the smaller diameter may even give you quicker acceration point to point which would be usefull to yourself. suck it and see?
  17. agreed rain brings out the axe murderer within.
  18. a few of us have the red over clear versions, dont think anyone has the red over smoke though yet, few issues with fitment, they dont follow the body lines 100% but thats just being picky. they do look awesome on though
  19. agreed it almost looks platinium, i like it
  20. have you just vynaled the tops or have you inlaid it in the ttop channeling aswel? that is the only thing putting me off doing it, i had decided i was gonna paint it all so it doesnt look silly when i remove the ttops. i know what you mean about the cystals they dont quite sit right do they. ive learnt to live with it though.
  21. i recon you would have issues with even stock caliper clearance, plus the decrease in diameter without the decrease in tyre diameter(to prevent all that sidewall slop) you would end up with tiny diamter wheels that will spin up for a passion. not to mention speedo issues which obviously are less important to yourself, but may effect the variable speed power steering response.
  22. think mjp charges less as i looked into this a while back, ended up gettinga set of godens off another member
  23. yuk, and as a wise man once said if all it needs it a little more to finish why hasnt he finished it? probally because theres more to it. better cars out there in my opinion.
  24. agreed on the seats thing ive not moved mine since i first set it. i like the option but its such a heavy waste of power. plus replacing them with agood set of buckets will probally be cheaper than second hand oem or having them refurbed.
