  1. well whatever it is its non ferrous. ie not cast or mildsteel. i whacked a magnet on there and it didnt even try and stick. the oxidation on the surface looks very aliuminum like to me. looks like i might have found a little gem :D
  2. your not having much luck with this letting buisness are you mate? or is this teh same tennet that you had grief with a few months back?
  3. always going to be worse in an auto...? but anyways yes they should be good if well maintained. mine arnt that great. my gfs picanto nearly rips my face off however.
  4. yup all the way mate time they started taking reponsibility their track record is awful!i had the garage swap over the spare on my van at work.(no time to do it myself...)anyways they informed me that the spare wheel carrier underneath had been zip tied on as the bolts to realse where seized. and the spare was flat to allow it to fit. the bolt would normally compress the tyre. i knew they wherent full of bull because i saw the zip ties when the car was on the way up on the ramps.
  5. happy birthday gazzara
  6. so i could put mine on an 04 plate possibly hrm dunno bout that
  7. hrm, ive seen that car for sale previously. i def wouldnt say its worth nearly 7k i would say if what he has said is true and he can prove it, ie the rebuilt engine etc could well be worth around half that. which is quite a good price in the current market.
  8. guess il be whamming a magnet on it to prove my suspicion
  9. so having had a look down there a few times ive noticed that when i got mt new engine i gained a aluminium pulley. was that always there? is it standard? i assume its ali, im very used to looking at ali and steel and spotting the difference at a glance and it looks like ali to me
  10. dunno the car but im sure it would be fairly easy to work out what the internal situation is by compression leakdown etc. have a detailed chat with the vendor and sift the bull from the truth, and you will soon work it out. if your not confient with it tho maybe its not the best choice for you theres plently to choose from
  11. that first grey one made me feel er sick...

  13. are there two japfests? one at castle combe aswel?
  14. that was the reading for the ecu? sounds liek a real overheating problem to me mate. is she dribbling any fluid when you turn her off? check the viscous, check the stat, the rad could have a flush and make sure you bleed it correctly aterwards dont want any air pockets building up. and the water pump is definatly pumping isnt it?
  15. im sure someone did a comparison recently between ebay fmics and say for example the greddy. they found that they were restrictive with their flow due to the manufacturing quality of the core etc and all in all offered little advantage over stock. so in short if youve got good smic then keep them. :D
  16. agreed find a common ground now your already talking then make sure your both doing that thing, offer her a ride to it. or be proactive and say something like did you wanna pop out to this place or that place one day next week for lunch, keep i casual, and friendly. :D
  17. i just asked my local paint shop who they used a company called rainbow paints. the match was spot on, and they where very helpfull
  18. any opinions on whatthe japspeeds sound like? ive got one reday to fit very soon
  19. dont sink the hot tub into the floor... unless you have the flexible one piece pipework that returns to a seperate allocated filter area. will be far easier to maintain and repair WHEN it goes wrong that way. i hate working on hot tubs that you end up digging up the concrete to get to a poorly joined pipe or split pipe that someone else laid without thinking about how you would access it.
  20. all the supermarkets had massive ques to get in the carparks yesterday. sainsbury was about 300 metres and onto the round about lol
  21. i have a trade card for them now makes it even cheaper :)
  22. lol we would be seriously worried if you had lost to that
  23. ah my bad..thought most people went for an offset of 32 with 9s. i was looking at the gtr ones and having them redone in a dark bronze colour
  24. wont the 30 offset be a bit too aggressive and stick out the arch?
