  1. drove down to dorchester 75 miles door to door. used under quater of a tank and i wasnt driving like a choir boy i think thats alright over mixed driving situations :D wasnt driving like a hooligan either tho.... had a prelude try to undertake me on a 50 streach because i was doing 55 lol soon sorted him out! and a group of lads in a beemer at a round about who looked rather pike and angry they got a good dose of piss off. and the best news of all i didnt even piss itself after i turned it off  its so nice to get out and enjoy driving this car. only downside is i got home and realised my front number plate had flown off. :(
  2. i recon master clynder. had this hapen on acapri a few years back id cracked a brake line going down the road. might be worth investigating the linkages down there if its really loose
  3. we have some massive ones round here even at standard ride hight you have to go over them in the single figures. really puts me off dropping it. plus the fact that the rac wont tow lowered cars...... did you know that?
  4. its recoverabe then right? im doing teh right thing re applying laquour in the correct enviroment?
  5. yeh i did it outside on the patio after work. silly really should have known. its a hell of a lot better but not 100% gone yet
  6. i was looking at removing the stndard water temop gauge from the cluster and fitting an aftermarkrt(more reliable one) i take it this is simply a case of removing the cluster popping the old one out and popping the new one in and using teh existing cables? does anyone produce a combined oil and water temp? seems a good idea. im guessing taht would require a sandwatch plate and sender tho? final question what exactly should i be looking for gauges wise? any spefic types to look for i want to keep teh look fairly stock and dont want to brake the bank
  7. yup a nice coat in the warm has cured about 95% of teh problem. if we get some nice dry weather over the weekend il give it another coat that should see it off . phew
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmHFUSGNj8k&feature=related just watch it funny stuff

  10. i just tried a dusting over one of teh worst areas with some more laquor it went clear again. hopefully i can do this to the whole thing and solve the problem.....
  11. i spose jimmer isnt to far from you. i live in dorset lol. have a look about for the other bits first may also be worth running your ecu for faluts
  12. sorry forgive my grammer issues.... i meant the rear bumper and exhaust in combination dont work. not that the bumper itself looks silly
  13. look at all that bodywork then that silly standard exhaust. looks ridiculous with that rear bumper!
  14. what with some like 2000 grit sandpaper?
  15. boost leaks cause havock with these cars. its best tio check out theres no boost leaks sooner rather than later. i wouldnt of thought it would make it run taht bad generally problems like are more associated with larger leaks. if you dont find any leaks then disconnecting the maf and seeing if it iderls ok will out rukle that. the most common running issues seem to be poor eltrical connections with injectors and coild packs. malfountioning maf or ptu. or boost leaks. i dont know exactly where you live but it would be a good idea to pop your car along to jeff at zedworld for a health check as its qyuite new to you isnt it? he does a set fee service that goes over the engine etc and checks its in good condition and can sort out any running issues. i wouldnt bother with other garages other than z specialists most specialist jap garages are pretty limited with there experience with our cars and alot of normal garages wont touch them. trust sum 1 whho has been ripped off with there zed only go to a known zed garage.
  16. been spraying my new spoiler and was quite happy with the result but being fussy i thought it could do with one last coat of laqour the previus coat had been on there since monday. now the new coat has hazed :( can i get back from this or am i screwed?
  17. i hope your not gonna eat them skate lol put them back there getting rare lol nice catch tho, we only get thorny off the beach here and blondes
  18. would i be right in assumin that a lot of us are driving around with very dirty 20 year old radiators that arnt as effient as the orginal... and thats the base cause of the too much heat senario?
  19. just finished painting my new 89 spec spoiler from car.mad. now i need to work out how to fit the darn thing..... i wont have much time this weekend and ive only got thursday night free, so seeings as i dont have the brake light or sticker yet there in the post.. is there anything i need to pull though the spoiler, wires wise for the brake light and what exactly is it? im assuming its "gluded" on how and with what opinions please guys....
  20. i dont reallt drive like a hooligan these days, theres enough power under the bonnet to get acceration and it handles wells enough to zip round a round abut or two no need for all that tire smoking squeeling buisness most of the time. plus i cant afford to driv elike that all the time lol
  21. personally i would say a step to far.... well in my opinion.
  22. how did you attach the spoiler?
