  1. just doesnt look like anyting specail sat still. recon it needs abetter ratioed box aswel cos first sounds like its over way way way to quick, your shiftig before youve left the spot. and agreed that exhaust looks gash! doesnt suit the car at all. bet its a roit to drive though
  2. yeh, fair point theyre pretty tough on impact, i recon theres just too much to go wrong though, look at most of the most popular bangers there mostly things like capris, etc. big old engine with carbs and very little in the way of eletrics to go wrong. hell look how much of an issue occurs when a bit of the loom moves around a touch... lol be fun though for a few minutes
  3. i recon the zed would make a crap banger racer esp a tt becaus eof the nature of the engine layout the rad isnt protected well neither are teh intercoolers, theres not much metal between the front and the front of the engine
  4. ah tahts very uisefull thankyou for that
  5. leo why dont you pop outside with a magnet. then you will know for sure. mine weighs about as much as a fag paper. anyone worked out how much the stock leccy seats weigh?
  6. ok, sounds good to me. and yeh i think tahst what they did exactly, however they have ended up wiring the sidelights up as fogs. whilst where on the subject can i use an led subsitue for the indicators as i feel they really arnt bright enough in day time.
  7. ian i think you should pull the block and the box at the same time then, you can do it properly and cahnmge all those annoying little old hoses etc. it will also make fitting the new flywheel and bolting the box up far easier as its easier to align on the deck than a foot off the floor with the heavy box on your chest. just my two pence worth. also i swear we discussed this before and it was aid yeh its possible but it takes just aslong and if you do get a stubborn bolt etc your stuffed.
  8. yup and he is about half the price of z centre.
  9. as you face the rear of the car my drivers side inner bulb keeps blowing. i recently recommissioned the issue as i realise only the outer bulbs where lighting up the inners on closer inspection, one was blown teh other cut to stop the brake light lighting up. im assuming this was for mot or whateer as they couldnt be bothered to fix the problem so they hid it. id rather like to fix the issue. im assuming its an earth falut? anyone else ever had this issue? it may last a few days then pop. back on three bulbs. even with all the bulbs in the lights warning display comes up on the dash.... any suggestions?
  10. they are ever so slightly differnt, slightly different cam profiles to work with teh slightly smaller turbos. how much efect this will have on driving it i donmt know. ie ecu difficulties, could occur but as i say i dont know. as already said obviously you can just take the flywheel off and bolt on the torque converter. but i think if you where to have issues it would be related to the modified camshafts
  11. what makes you want to use the zed as a drift car, theres plently of other cars that would be better for this. there are afew guys on here that do use them for that, but stuff like the steering rack needs to be modified to get enough angle for opposite lock, the lock is pretty poor on these cars, also teh car itself its relitivly heavy. maybe you would be better off with a 200sx or simular. not trying to put you off as obviously i think the zeds great, but its not the most natural drifter.
  12. id say fake tbh. need to see the lower lense in detail to say 100%. however the centre panel is def not a 99 spec one
  13. oooooooooo! nice. i vote carbon wrap the fog light ducts :D
  14. yeh there like a dark sparkly charcoal orginally. i brought a new set last year.
  15. thats a man i need to rember lol. dont forget guys though youve gotta add on the most expensive ferry in the world lol.
  16. theyre grey from factory incase you where wondering.. but basically there are loads of little oplastic screws holding it down. coems apart in two pices small side first then lifts off after you have removed the wippers. be carefull with it though.
  17. id lift teh rear 10 mm mate then worst case you will have a drop nose look and muscle car stance.
  18. yehs thats cool hopefully by then il be lowered a bit myself, ive got some new shocks coming, just gotta fit them lol. gotta get on with that meet arragement aswel, just so damn busy atm cant believe its 10pm already ive got a list of things to do still.
  19. thats the hard thing really. i just dont know. i got made redundant about two years ago, and thought it would be the ideal time to get the state to help me understand what im eligable to do and what is out there. but i was really disappointed with the way the job centre handled my case. they just wanna get you working at mc ds, not interested in helping you progress. thats not right imo. they should be helping us find a proper job not just throwing us at the first one that will take us for minium wage. even looking on teh job sites and local papers throws up littl;e in the way of real work. i earn about 14k a year atm with some perks, company van etc. i dont have toomany out goings these days, but i would love to get a proper job. i just dont even know where to start, works pretty thin on the groud here aswel. well real jobs wise, plently of hotel jobs and resaurant jobs etc etc tourist trade and the like but its all poorly paid. i was working as an apprentice fabricator before i was made redundant but finding work in that field is tough atm, plus after reviewing the health issues i was put off the job. ive worked in retail at low level management a few times earning about what i earn now, but god i hate customers in shops! i did look into joing the police or the ambulance service but theyre on massive cutbacks and not taking people on really. im up for anything really aslong as it pays well, isnt so boring you go insane and doesnt involve checkouts lol. or 4 years of training at a silly wage rate. i have 4 a levels, and passed all my gcses at at least a c apart from french which i got an e lol whoops. i could have gone to uni but opted not to as i didnt trust myself not to party too hard and i didnt think it would actually give me a better chance, it certainly hasnt helped my mates.
  20. well mines lwb and ui recon tehrs about a 40 odd maybe nearer 50mm gap between tyre and arch. on the rear fron is much much closer maybe 30mm its about double visually i guess
  21. i thought about posting my cv on here and asking you guys for advice before myself actually. being 25 this year a career is really required. its touigh out there atm for everyone. getting started on the ladder is just stupid. I would love to earn even 20k a year.
  22. pretty sure im standard. front 657 rear 670 measurementr taken from the floor to the bottom of the arm where the liner meets. obvuioulsy could be a few mm here and there cars on gravel atm
  23. its the pebbles in teh road you will hit on the front splitter. there is a limit and its not taht far due to camber issues. but honestly most will tell you very little is the right amount to lower. about 20mm. the lowest part on mine is the exhaust, even at standard height most speed bumps are a challenge
  24. ahh barce, went there a few years back with the guys and our bmxes. awesome city. guess its a nightmare to live there though.
