Job Advice
thats the hard thing really. i just dont know. i got made redundant about two years ago, and thought it would be the ideal time to get the state to help me understand what im eligable to do and what is out there. but i was really disappointed with the way the job centre handled my case. they just wanna get you working at mc ds, not interested in helping you progress. thats not right imo. they should be helping us find a proper job not just throwing us at the first one that will take us for minium wage. even looking on teh job sites and local papers throws up littl;e in the way of real work. i earn about 14k a year atm with some perks, company van etc. i dont have toomany out goings these days, but i would love to get a proper job. i just dont even know where to start, works pretty thin on the groud here aswel. well real jobs wise, plently of hotel jobs and resaurant jobs etc etc tourist trade and the like but its all poorly paid. i was working as an apprentice fabricator before i was made redundant but finding work in that field is tough atm, plus after reviewing the health issues i was put off the job. ive worked in retail at low level management a few times earning about what i earn now, but god i hate customers in shops! i did look into joing the police or the ambulance service but theyre on massive cutbacks and not taking people on really. im up for anything really aslong as it pays well, isnt so boring you go insane and doesnt involve checkouts lol. or 4 years of training at a silly wage rate. i have 4 a levels, and passed all my gcses at at least a c apart from french which i got an e lol whoops. i could have gone to uni but opted not to as i didnt trust myself not to party too hard and i didnt think it would actually give me a better chance, it certainly hasnt helped my mates.

how low can I go
its the pebbles in teh road you will hit on the front splitter. there is a limit and its not taht far due to camber issues. but honestly most will tell you very little is the right amount to lower. about 20mm. the lowest part on mine is the exhaust, even at standard height most speed bumps are a challenge

How to bring back metal on engine parts...
i brought one of these the other day. it wasnt in the polishing section but in the body work reapirs ilse. with the fibreglass etc. i used it ona drill and whilst it came out ok, i would say something with a little more grunt would be required to get a perfect finish.

Opinion on the RX7 and RX8's?
a few of the local guys hae had 7s apprantly there super juicey one had one running 400bhp and that ran single figures, they have a bad rep for relaibilty, which as gonzo said is mostly related to poor mainatince. however an engine that needs rebuilding after 60k miles is in my mind a poor design. they are fot an entusiast who has money to lavish on them. but thy are one of the prettiest cars ever produced. my father owns an 8 and is constantly threanting to sell it. hes had it for three years it cost him alot of money at the time. now its worth sod all, its the 231 model and its slow. my standard zed leaves it standing. the feul ecconomy is awful, for a modern car and he does lots of motor way miles. it has an unsual quirk that is seriously dissappointing. if used on a quick run, ie not long enough to warm the engine... you can go back and it wont start as its flooded itself! you then have to turn the engine over which the feul relay out till it bursts into life, kicks out loads of black smoke then runs fine. he did this twice before investigating its cause. so basically if he has to move it off the drive he has to leave it running on the drive for 5/10 minutes to warm up to stop the issue. not impressive. high milage models suffer lots of internal issues just like the 7. on a positive note its surprisingly spacious and can be picked up for a bargin second hand now. if you want a cheap run about buy one the rx series are not an ideal second run about car imo. go buy a vectra for the school run keep the zed for fun times.
