  1. If the wheel will fully slip into the splines and the nut go on fully, then the steering will work. So all is good. Not sure legally where things stand if horn button isn't on steering wheel but if it's passed MOTs in the past then I guess it's a non issue. I will add the disclaimer to this that I've never tried to fit a z32 steering wheel without a clock spring so I may be talking utter balls.
  2. No steering angle sensor on a non HICAS (ie not a TT) model. The clock spring (slip ring) I would guess only serves the cruise control module as that's the only electrics on the steering wheel that need to pass through. I assume you car has cruise from factory? If not, then you don't need a clock spring. In your images it looks like that huge metal chunk at the front is all aftermarket and can be removed revealing the threaded end of the steering shaft that you bolt your oem wheel too.
  3. It's not part of the spoiler. Just part of the boot structure. These 2 pics should help explain
  4. You mean the perspex strip? https://www.zcentre.co.uk/index.php/shop/300zx-z32-lighting/300zx-nissan-rear-perspex-strip-with-without-brakelight
  5. Hmmm I could be wrong then. I seem to remember from my last Zed ownership days finding info that it was 95/96 onwards.
  6. If the wiring to your speed sensor is fine, it could be an issue with your speedo cluster. Burnt tracks are a possibility, as are dry joints. You likely have a KM - MPH convertor behind there too. Probably put in with crappy bullet connectors so it's worth checking that hasn't came lose. Fair warning - you'll likely break (or discover already broken) the lighting and heating pods. Particularly the hazard light screw mounts. New are available for £45 ish each in UK. Cheaper if imported sometimes. Regarding bumpers - worth noting that all cars regardless of TT or NA had the same TT style bumper after 1995. So having a TT bumper on yours isn't odd as such.
  7. It's is. Most turn grey/white with age. They are still available new from the usual sources. They are RHD and LHD specific so make sure you order the correct ones. They can be had for around £120 for the pair. Make sure you order new clip set with them too as the clips will break when you remove them.
  8. https://www.simplyduty.com/import-calculator/ Handy we tool for calculating it here. You get 5 calcs a day free.
  9. Today I discovered that one of the targas doesn't seal properly and found a nice layer of ice on all the interior glass. Sorted that out, stuck in some dehumidifier boxes and a reusable dehumidifying pillow. Then placed the new cover over the top. Away to work tomorrow so this will keep any extra moisture out until I get back from sea in 3 weeks and can investigate more.
  10. What tag you referring too? I've just checked the moderating logs there's nothing showing as out of the ordinary.
  11. I think I prefer the OEM spoiler out of those 2 to be honest. Though I can see the appeal in the Twinz one
  12. I had a look see at mine the last time I had the console out a few months back. Jow the hell my elephant paws are supposed to get in there I don't know! Kids will be doing child labour for me I think. On a side note Jimmer - what's your preferred method of contact to discuss booking in a 120km service and a few other bits?
  13. What Jimmer said. I have a short shifter in mine and hate it with a passion. Once my suspension and chassis work is done and I turn to the inside of the car my will be getting deep sixed off the back of the boat and replaced with OEM. Hateful things.
  14. I still can't decide how I feel about it. Sometimes I see a pic and think it looks great, then I see another pic and think it looks really dated.
  15. Nice purchase Richard. I still find the looks somewhat challenging. Although not as challenging as it's Supra sister!
  16. 5 years since an MOT. Corrosion issues on MOTs in the past. £10k......jesus.
  17. I think he's alluding to the fact that that car is no beauty.
  18. Have you tried a look through the two main US forums? There's a considerable amount more verts in the US than in the UK. It's just one long cable so probably just a case of patiently stripping out everything on that side and then methodically removing the old one and pushing in the new one. Although I'm betting I've massively over simplified that!
  19. Arms painted and dry, Nismo bushes in, hubs painted and Nismo bushes in. Differential painted. I need to replace brake lines on the chassis, and do some paint work above the subframe before putting everything back together.
  20. My sea survival refresher didn't take as long as expected today, so I managed to get some paint onto the hubs tonight (note it's still wet in that pic. Will dry to a satin finish). I'm pleased I finally got these done as they took absolutely ages to clean off the heap of crappy underseal that someone had got all over them when they did the rear end and didn't mask anything.
  21. Looks smart mate. Glad you got it all sorted. Also I'm pleased to see the pics as I was having a head scratch on which way up to install the lower shock Bush. That pic shows it perfectly! Give me a few more months and I'll catch up to you! ?
  22. Wife would kill me! They're brush painted bud. One of the reasons I chose Jotamastic 87 for the primer and Jotun Hardtop top coat. Can all be brushed on and as long as being careful shows the minimum of brush strokes anywhere. I don't have access or space for a spray set up unfortunately. I spend a significant amount of time at work painting large bits of boat with rollers and brushes so whilst it's a damn sight slower than spraying I'm pretty good at getting a decent finish.
  23. Couple of hours on it last night now that I'm home from work. I ended up going for a satin finish paint as it suited me more than anything that was full gloss. The Jotun topcoat I've used is also really easy to touch up should any of it get chipped in the future. Some new shiny bits arrived too Just got the 6 arms to topcoat, then press the new bushes in. Also the diff to finish painting. Then it's re assembly time.
  24. Little bit more progress made past couple of days. Progress much slower than hoped as we've been busy at work the past few weeks. All these bits have now had the 2 coats of Jotamastic 87. They'll get 2 coats of Jotun Hardtop at the weekend. Still got a few stubborn bushes to remove from the suspension arms, but that should be sorted today and hopefully get at least 1 coat of primer on to all the arms over the weekend. Apologies for the shockingly poor photos. Mix of Nismo and whiteline bushes are all waiting for me at home. Along with new Moog ball joints for the rear end.
  25. https://www.onlinecarparts.co.uk/febi-bilstein-7107640.html I've just got these for rear drop links. I'm binning the bushes and washers and just using the rod itself with whiteline bushes and washers. Might be an option for you if you don't want to wait for another order from the US. These took 4 days delivery from Germany.
