  1. Order them from Zcentre instead. Or order from Japan - normally only 4-6 days delivery from the various Japanese sellers. I use JP Carparts, but there are others.
  2. Epoxy will indeed go on bare metal. I do it all the time. It's more that there's still rust there. It'll last a good long while like that though. Decades most likely. Rust inhibitor shouldn't be used on "clean bare" steel. There's no good key for it. So you use it on the rust and overlap onto the good steel. Then full epoxy coat.
  3. Oh, and check those suspension mounts from underneath. If it's like that on top, they may have started going from underneath.
  4. Mine is going to a place in Halifax for sill repairs and a few other welding bits in May. I can't say how good they'll be yet, but will report back. DST Rustworx on the east coast have worked on Z32s before and his work looks good. Garage with most experience in UK of 300s that is still operating is Metal Monkey in Bristol. So a bit of a trek. Radio trim available from Zspec and/or BlasterZGarage. Think @AndrewG has one for sale in classifieds though. Don't use POR15 on the engine bay. It's not as good as it once was and isn't UV stable so will discolour each time you open the bonnet. Shift as much out of the way as you can. Take back to bare metal. Then get a garage to spray it. It'd be worth the money as POR will look gash.
  5. Yep. My error. Corrected now!
  6. Good afternoon. 300zx.co.uk will have a stand at GoJapan at Brands Hatch this year on Sunday 26th September. Members who wish to attend please do the following: 1. Go to this website : https://www.gojapan.co.uk/club-stands/ 2. Click on the red button and enter 55456834 for the club code. 3. Tickets for the event need to be paid for directly from https://.brandshatch.msv.com/BH-21-JAPAN Tickets are available on the gate but will be more expensive than buying in advance. Please note that a stand pass from GoJapan doesn't allow access without tickets purchased. Only Z31 and Z32 cars will be allowed on the stand. Subscribed Membership of the forum is NOT a requirement to attend. Hope to see many of you there!
  7. In the areas I've highlighted there is still rust. It may look shiny but that is still corrosion in the pitting. Ideally you'd need to soda blast those bits to get it fully out and then paint with a proper paint scheme (don't bother with rustbusters - their epoxy paints are just rebranded Jotun marine paints. Available cheaper from SML paints or other marine suppliers). If you've already epoxied over it, then you'll have stopped the worst of it and slowed it significantly as you've done good prep. However a coat of a rust inhibitor would have been better before the epoxy (I use neutrarust, but they all do the same job chemically). For the size area it is, and the pits are particularly deep, you'll be fine to leave as is imo. Particularly if you are only using your car on summer dry days.
  8. Ditto. But rears have been out of stock for 2 months now (I know this as I need a pair!)
  9. You can get them new from Luke at Zcentre or the usual US and Japanese suppliers. Probably cost you the same as if you got them 2nd hand.
  10. Lots of OEM parts still available from Japan (Greenline and JP Car Parts for example). Often better priced than from the US suppliers. More and more stuff is becoming NLA. However some enterprising folk are starting up and making replacements - Zspec and BlasterZGarage for example. Plenty of after market stuff around, but not as much as there was. And much of what is available is cheap knock off copies of quality products that are no longer made. Shop carefully and use the UK and US and Oz forums for research.
  11. Not sure where the images have gone from this thread as they were there when I viewed it a few months back. But it shows where the seals needs to be secured down near the targa drains. Maybe drop a message to Jeff and see if he still had the pics somewhere.
  12. Small but important and significant update - it is booked in for the various rust repairs starting on 4th May! Finally. Oh. And a box from CZP has arrived ?
  13. JM Imports. They tend to deal with R35s these days, but I'm sure Jurgen can still remember his way around a Z32.
  14. It's 2022 ? It's a good concept. And seen it proposed on numerous clubs over the years. Unfortunately I've never seen it come to anything. Hopefully this time will be different. You'll need to promote it on the FB group to get interest going.

  16. These days you are best off getting a custom one made from a local exhaust fab shop. Very few new off the shelf options available these days. Zcentre do sell some. Rest are available in the US. But you'll pay the premium for import on top of what is already an expensive product.
  17. Midori/Rose joint suspension is best left for cars that are only used on track. And even then the cheap ass versions these days are more likely to ruin the ride than enhance it. Better options are Nismo bushes or Poly bushes. Both have their fans (for what it's worth I hate Poly bushes with a passion. They're noisy and harsh). If considering changing shocks too, bear in mind you can buy shocks that are a similar spec to OEM still if you don't want to lower the ride or change damping rates. As always with these things it comes down to personal preference and what you're wanting to use your car for.
  18. Replacement of all fuel lines to a material that ethanol doesn't degrade.
  19. Just to clarify - E5 standard 95RON will be discontinued and replaced with E10. Super Unleaded (98Ron+) will still be available in its current E5 form.
  20. The wheels are on! Back end is now back on the ground. Left the exhaust off for now. Ideally need to remove the drivers downpipe to sort a snapped stud.
  21. Long way to go yet! ?
  22. As tends to be the way, plans have gone a wee bit sideways. My grand plan of getting the brake and fuel lines changed and then cleaning/painting everything went out of the window yesterday. I was a little concerned about some of the corrosion near the axle stand points. So I decided to get it back on the ground asap. So spent all today putting it all back together. Not quite at the point where wheels are back on. That will be tomorrow.
  23. I'm home now and measured mine yesterday. 28mm. Not sure whether being a late model makes a difference or if a previous owner fitted a larger size one. For the sake of a few $ I'd ordered bjth sizes from CZP anyway.
