LakeZ 2011 Fri 24th, Sat 25th Sunday 26th June
Gah, cant edit post. If the member here was told not to attend (for whatever reason) I can only apologise, and again say that that kind of behavior form moderators (of any forum) goes against what the club communities are supposed to be about.

LakeZ 2011 Fri 24th, Sat 25th Sunday 26th June
The 300zx-club is out of my hands unfortunately. And I have no wish to involve myself in cross forum debates (went through all that with the two 350z clubs). My organisation on this is purely an assistant rule to the main organisor (I work with him), and as a proliffic member of the 350z-uk club, I have only involved myself with that side of things. A forum which the trader in question is not a trader. The primary organisation of this meet is through the 350z-uk club. It's a 350z-uk moderator who is organising it. So whilst I understand the reluctance the people to associate themselves with the "other" forum, I think these feeling shouldnt be allowed to overly interfere with an event which has very little to do with them, other than they got the same invite this forum got. But, each to their own. Hope to see some of you there.

Apologies. I was trying to keep names out of it, and I've been up working since 4am, too much caffeine! Anyways, slightly back on topic. If anyone would like more information about the meet. Feel free to ask here, or PM me. So far we have 70 cars signed up. Hotel is now fully booked, but camping is available (onsite showers and toilets will be provided). Camping will be £25 per pitch. There are however numerous B&B's all within 5-10 mins. A drive out is organised for the Saturday, but this is more of a social meet. A band is going to play the Saturday night, and a buffet will be provided (at an addition cost per head) Usual stuff too - show n shine, maybe a raffle. Details still being confirmed.

whoa. back-up a moment fellers. My comment wasnt aimed at you guys. The mods I was commenting about where those mods NOT the mods here. So whilst I agree, I got a couple of facts wrong there, non of it was malicious to this forum. I'm just trying to promote something which I have a hand in organising. I'm part of the 350z-uk club, and although I do have a log-in at Z-Club, I only go there to view the classifieds.

Whilst I feel for you and your situation, this has nothing to do with the organisor of this event. And if this is the trader I think you are referring too, he does not trade on the 350z forum. However, if I'm wrong, and any trader on the 350z-uk site owes anyone on this site money, please let me know and I will pass it on to the Team and let them decide if action should be taken. I am shocked and saddened that moderators would warn people off this event, when all that we are trying to do is create a new annual event for Zed owners that doesnt involve massive trecks South for the Northern owners. I hope you get your car sorted soon mate. PS. I await flaming, or this post removed. *shrugs*

LakeZ 2011 Fri 24th, Sat 25th Sunday 26th June
This one is being organised by a member from another club and is open to all zed enthusiasts. As its a social weekend there is no need to have the zed to come along.

Once the 350 is gone, I'll see whats around, and if this car is still up, I may take a drive down to have a look. As I say, I would prefer to buy a car from an owners club, simply because they are generally better looked after, and at a better price. Not to mention, the history of the car can be searched for through the forum. As for the wheels, I already have the set I want picked out. They'll be ordered once I get my mits on a car.

WHat do people think of this? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1368066.htm I'd prefer to buy from a forum member, as the car is more likely to be looked after. This car though would be a good project starting point for me, and a very reasonable price. Anyone had any experience with Crest Cars?

Yeah, she used ot spot the Zed in Azalea Terrance in Ashbrook. I totally respect the savings route. I was initially going to save like a beast for a built engine for the 350. Till I realised it was gunna be well over £20k!!!! As much as I love my car, I still want to get married sometime in the next 20 years!

No idea mate. Aint been one since October. And no announcements on the forum either. TBH, seems like its been dying off for a more than a few months now. I work away (2 weeks on/off) so cant make all the meets anyway. The gf was just wondering what you're driving now since you sold the 300. She used to drive past your car in Sunderland when droppping a work collegue off.

Me and the gf we're just talking about your car StellaZ. I can remember seeing it at Japtuner meets when you were mid way through the wide arch kit (used to have an RX8 back then), and JNE meets through the years. Thanks for the offer of coming to look at potential cars. I will no doubt take you up on that offer. :)

Recent Photo of Gt Britain from Space.
I drove up from Dover (work) to Hartlepool on Wednesday, and it was white from one end to the other! Never seen anything like it! Blizzard on the M25 = scary!

Thanks for the comments on the 350 :) Bought her brand new standard, and did all the mods myself through East Shore Racing in Sunderland. Just wish I'd had more interest in her. lol. Time of the year I guess. Looking around PIstonheads, seems that £5k is gunna have me spoilt for choice! Been hammering the FAQ's on here over the past hour. Hoping to gian enough knowledge to know what to look for. I'll apologise in advance for any dumb questions I'll post in the future!

Hi there. Ok, so, sometime in the near future I will be switching from one Zed to another. Currently own a modded 350z (for sale) which some of you may have seen at various shows in 08/09. Gunna be getting married, and buying a house in the next few years, so it is time for a change to something that costs me less per month in HPI costs! I've always hankered after a 300, and the fiance loves them to bits. So now seems like a good time to purchase one. I'm looking around on Pistonheads etc already, but cant really look properly until my current Zed has been sold (dont suppose anyone here interested in one lol) Going to have in the region of £5000 to spend, and will be looking for a TT manual (yeah, I know, rare). Not really bothered if its SWB or LWB. When it comes to Mods, Im very much a built not bought kinda guy. But tbh, if the right car was to present itself, I'd probably go for it (and then end up changing it! lol) Anyways, thought I'd show you pics of my current car, hope no-one minds. Cheers Al
