removing old window tints....
If you're careful (and depending on the type and quality of tint) the semester strips can survive. Mine have.

removing old window tints....
I had forgotten how much of a bitch this job is. Especially when the wife's hairdryer packs up half way through!

decats
My na passed emissions with Japspeed decats fitted. The O2 sensors are on the back of the manifolds so they remain in place.

Thank fook for that! (MOT)
It is when you have a slicky with leather and AC that isn't working!
-
Thank fook for that! (MOT)
For those wondering. A n/a will pass an emissions test with decats. 0.29% co2. (Limit is 3.5%).

Centre panel conversion to fit fog light
Perfectly acceptable to have one reverse light and one fog light. It's pretty much the standard conversion method on these cars so far as I can tell. I have fog on one side and a cable ran to a rocker switch in the front. Just remember that Fog light switches must be "in view of driver" and have an indicator light showing when they are on. Most MOT people would ignore this, but if you get an arsey one then it will fail (as I found out 2 weeks ago). Medallion Man did modify his centre panel to give 2 of both by fitting extra lights, but that's alot of extra work.

Scarborough Meet Aug 25th
A few of the lads from 350z-uk are arranging a Scarborough meet for Sunday 25th August. More details to follow, but basically sounds like a meet up around 1100, lunch, and some banter. I shall be there, and so far about 5 x 350's. This is basically another attempt from me to get an inter club meet somewhere in our region! If this clashes with any other shows, then tough  Cheers Al

Matte black wrap...attempt #1!
If you did it yourself....I gotta ask....is this your first attempt? I can get hold of wrap at trade price, so was thinking of having a shot on my Zed. Paintwork is in a state and I don't want to pay for a full respray until I get everything else sorted.

Le Mans 24
Yup. camped with Speedchills a couple of times in their private area. Food is basic but good. certainly saves BBQ'ing yourself. The beer and the food are a tad expensive, think London prices. They have a mammoth covered eating area with huge TV,s and 24/7 race coverage.

Le Mans 24
Any particular advice you are after? The main one I can say is book early. You want your camping and your tickets booked by December at the latest. Ferrywise depends on how much you wanna drive. DFDS are cheapest and have 2 routes - Dover-Dunkerque (1hr50) and Dover-Calais (bit more expensive but only 50 mins) P&O run Dover-Calais and are more expensive. Dunkerque is further North in France than Calais. If you car is low, ensure when you check in that you tell the ticket lady in the booth! That way they will leave you on a freight deck rather than up onto the car decks. This is especially essential on the DFDS Dunkerque route (I worked on these ferries, and had to deal with numerous vehicles beaching on the ramp). Motorway is quickest way to Le Man, but it's a toll road. The N roads are single carriageway, but free. I could go on and on. So lemme know specifics of what you want.

I've been to Le Mans a fw times over the years, but next year is a no for me unfortunately. I can seriously recommend using these guys for your booking though - http://www.speedchills.com/ We used them 4 years in a row.

car valuation
Nip into WH Smith and pick up Glasses guide and find the car. Then put it back on the shelf. No sense paying for it. Vauxhall's website used to allow 3 valuations for any IP address. No idea if they still do this.

NEO or REO needed
Not much help to you I know, but I can help with this next year (only live an hr away from Elvington) Unfortunately it's too short notice this year as I work away, and have 2 x 6 month olds to look after when I am on leave. For those thinking about going, but unsure you should certainly go. It's much less formal than some of the annual shows and in my book that makes it more enjoyable. I went with a bunch of folk from 350z-uk a few years back and got burnt to a crisp it was so hot. My only complaint about the show is that there is no shelter from sun or rain!

What did you do to your zed today?
Well yesterday I invented a whole new load of swear words whilst attempted to remove a shattered front undertray whilst trying not to sheer the bolts. You'd think some people had never fecking heard of Copperslip.

Not really new, but finally a Z32 owner

Not really new, but finally a Z32 owner
Ahhhhh. That makes more sense. Couldn't see that far up as only had it on a single axle stand to get the under tray off. Learn something new everyday
