Scarborough Meet Aug 25th
Remember it's a bank holiday Sunday so the chance of any spirited moors driving is slim. We'll meet at the chippy, get something to eat, then decide what to do from there

Start of the week off the wall thread
I'm 32 with 7 month old twins and the wife wants more......I'll never be able to retire. Been in the Merchant Navy for 15 years, and the pension ain't worth jack. I'll still be driving tugs when I'm 65 most likely. Meh, at least it's something I enjoy doing.

300zx v Aston Martin Vantage S
For me the Aston would make a much more suitable everyday car. I certainly wouldn't have one as a weekend toy. And visa-versa - I wouldn't have a 300 as an everyday car, only as a weekend toy. But each to their own and all that.

Good career choice??
Both my parents are taxi drivers. They were owner drivers for over 10 years. Money is hard to make that way, as you pay for your own fuel and maintenance. Also most taxi operators will send their own drivers for the better paid jobs. Even with me doing most of the maintenance on their taxi it still doesn't make alot of money. And if a part goes that you need to wait for, then you're essentially out of a job until it arrives. And driving for other people...just as crap really. You only get 40 or maybe 50% of the takings (although all tips are yours). You would have to work long shifts to make any kind of decent money. As said above, Taxi-ing is quiet at the moment. It's an expensive luxury for many people. They now bus or walk.

central locking wiring
I understand that my 95 Zed is a type 7 or type F single wire lock/unlock. Before I go spending hours messing around with a multimeter, does anyone know what colour that single wire is in the door harness?

Firefox not as good as it used to be
It's like a giant game of tag. The hackers come up with ever more elaborate ways to get access, and the software engineers for IE (and anti-virus) have to try and keep up and patch the holes. Although as FF has became more and more popular, it now suffers from the same attacks. True fact is that no system is truly safe no matter what browser or anti-virus software you are running.
-
Firefox not as good as it used to be
Main reason I don't use IE, is that with it being the worlds most popular browser it is the one that majority of hackers concentrate on when attempting to make viruses or hacks etc.

Firefox not as good as it used to be
I've been with FF since it's inception (hate IE). And I've noticed over the past 4 or 5 upgrades it's got slower as they have added more and more functionality. I use Chrome on my Galaxy S4 and on my Samsung Tab. But I just can't get used to it on a standard laptop or desktop. I'll stick with FF for better or worse.
