mini meet at a KFC, just wait till the shitty weather clears up a bit :)
  5. One had a little toy with me 2 years ago, tbh I was surprised he didnt pull away from me as much as i'd expected. That is until he launched it at a double round about, fook me they can handle, i would have ended up in the field at the speed he went round them.
  6. Some nice metal......and plastic! on show looks like another good day out
  7. Had this a couple of weeks ago. I got a new front tyres fitted at lunch time at a place just round from the work. The manager advised I recheck the wheel nuts after about 50 miles (as he should). Never even got 10 miles down the motorway that night before I noticed a vibration and twigged what was wrong, had to pull onto the hard shoulder to tighten them up. Both fronts were lose the nearside was walloping about!
  8. Worth bearing this in mind before forking out for a set of HID's. There is a good chance that they are going to start checking them at time of MOT. The new regs kick in at the start of next year.
  9. Bet your chuffed as *@@@ now :), well done bud. A lot of work but well worth it.
  10. Looks like it was a good day out guy's ( bet it was fookin baltic up at Knockhill though!) Nice to see so many Z's together up here.

Ok guys hows about the first weekend in September, Fri 2nd to Mon 5th. I know its not ideal for those going down to JAE the following week, just think of it as a practice session.

Depends when everyone else can make it, I'm ok from about the last week in June till mid September. But others wont be able to make it July & August due to family holidays and kids being off. Probably best if everyone posts up their preffered dates then I can sort it out from there

No dates as yet, just waiting to see whats going to suit best. Might even make it the end of August but its a difficult time of year due to holidays etc
  15. Hi all, apologies not posted up for ages but I have been popping in now and again to see whats going on. Anyways back to the title, I'm planning on doing another run along the lines of last year's http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=134736, when Andy and myself spent three or four days touring the north west. Looking to do it around the start of September if anyone is interested. Really would have been best going in May to miss the worst of the midges, but I'm just back last week after a 6 day walkabout in the highlands, dont think either the work or the misses would have been too happy if I disappeared again.
  16. Just seen this Dell and very sorry to hear your planning on braking it after all the work youve done to it. You sure it cant be welded up, there are a few of us who have been there now!
  17. What Jimmer say's And as you cant see the wiring to the high level brake lamp and a tester isnt allowed to use tools to remove trim to check it !!!!! guess what the tester should do :)
  18. Does this help "Additional stop lamps fitted and connected must be tested. Where extra lamps are fitted and there is doubt as to whether they are connected, the benefit of this doubt should be given to the presenter." From: http://www.transportoffice.gov.uk/crt/doitonline/bl/mottestingmanualsandguides/mottestingmanualsandguides.htm
  19. When are you thinking about doing this, my car isnt going to be back on the road until April/May time.
  20. Lol....but own up Alan! thats you at one of your bbq's last year
  21. Ossian replied to Mikey's topic in Events - UK
lol must have been nano technology road dirt to stick to the car in big patches like that. methinks you need to go on a car valeting course.
  22. Caliper overhaul is probably a good bet as well as some of the above suggestions. The piston seals tend to swell over time making the pistons stick and eventually seize in the caliper body. I know half mine were seized. Seals kits aint expensive. Always thought the cast iron ones were the upgrade, if I remember correctly the alloy ones were fitted to the earlier UK cars, my car had the iron ones fitted by a previous owner.
  23. I must be the only person on here that thinks it looks hideous then!
  24. Thats tttams car, or at least was.
