There is a little bit of truth to the article in that to try and unify testing throughout the EU There are going to be changes to the test. However the changes made to the UK MOT test havent been finalised yet, so dont panic. Things like engine management chips would be far to difficult and costly to test, that it is very unlikely that they will be added. As has been stated a bit of scare mongering going on. As soon as I find out any more info I will pass it on.
