corrosion protection
Hi mate, I followed your rebuild, thats a great job you did :). Another Z saved. Hope its all going well now. And Bilt-Hamber is what I used ( a 5 litre container of it lol) gets my vote as well.

Best laid plans!

corrosion protection
Search some of the classic car sites, think you will find most of them stay clear of waxoyl. There are a few other makers out there such as Dinitrol & Bilt-Hamber who get good reviews.

The Z has gone
Hi Cos, I have some of your pics saved off the forum cheers. Tyres and spigot rings are ordered, as soon as I get the Antera's on I will get some pics taken. The cars solid now, I've did quite a bit of work to it over the years. The only thing body wise is the rear arches which I will get round to at some point. Ohh and before anyone pipes up it could do with a full paint, I didnt realise there were so many different shades of white :). I have a list of other things I want to do when funds and time allow, like dropping all the subframes etc for painting re-bushing. I'll get round to it in the next 10 years or so!

Antera 309's
Sounds like a mini meet could be arranged :). Let me know when you are coming up. I take it your car is over in Bonnybridge

Spigot rings are fitted to the centre hole of the wheels to match the hub spigot size. It ensures that the wheels are fitted centraly to prevent balance issues and are also designed to take part of the load of the studs. Not a problem with manufacturers wheels which are designed to match, but aftermarket wheels generally have a larger centre hole so that they can be fitted to a wide range of vehicles. I'll wait and see what the stance is like once they are fitted before deciding on spacers then :) Thats good to know :), I'll have a wee peek of your pics

Cheers, can I ask did you manage to find spigot rings for yours, Ive spent all night hunting the internet but cant find the correct size other than someone wanting over £100 for a set

Failed mot and got broken into
:( Sorry to hear this, surely your luck with Z's has got to change soon. Hope they get the guy's and you get your stuff back, if not the garages insurance should fork out. the garage is responsible if the car is in their possession.

Cheers, I think the fronts are sitting about the same as stock, I was thinking on going for a 15mm spacer to bring it out. The backs are what are worring me there isnt as much room as i thought there would be, going to go for 265/35/18's. The rim is sitting close to the spring, clears it but not by much and the tyres are going to be pretty near the exhaust so I dont want to go too wide. Cars sitting on stock suspension. Probably have to drop it a bit if I ever get the wheels on.
