  1. posted on UJCC, Tatsu and Torque-power , for people to keep an eye out.
  2. sh*t :( :( I know how much work you had personally put into that car....I will post this on some other forums we'll have everyone on the lookout
  3. If it only feels slighly faster than your NA and not as fast as expected...then there is almost certainly a problem. Safety mode causes a substantial performance drop and is more than likely the issue... Ideally you want to perform an ECU error code check on the car. The boost gauge usually stops working becuase the vacumn pipe has come off just under the bonnet, drivers side wing. Connects to bottom of small black box near the small fuse box.
  4. on the TT I find it made it a little deeper through the rev range, but only slghtly louder.
  5. I;ve got to get me one of those... ...err for the kids ofcourse
  6. need a Drool emoticon !! Stop teasing me !! I need to push fowards with my v8 project now Impressed with how low it actually sits in there ! Plenty of room for the custom ITB intakes
  7. Most fit the Jap rear shocks (about 1/3 price of Uk shocks) as stock replacements. Damping level differences are neglidgable. If the ride is how you have explained, then sounds like a seperate issue....or related fitting issue.
  8. One of my favourite exterior improvements it to remove the lower trim textured finished...however to really make most of the improvement I'd remove the line altogether and fill it in. I think it dates the car, and with the line removed and smoohted it looks so much more modern.
  9. My Cream and Black leather interior was from Pete : Nipponauto , and the quality is great....full leather not just leather fronts like others.
  10. Hi, sorry not been online for couple of days. I will contact the developer and get back to you. Cheers, David
  11. sh*t,:( hope he recovers soon, thought go out to his friends and family. The hamster is a top bloke
  12. Bypass it...costs a few pence and takes only a few minutes. The det sensor only works up to about 3000rpm anyway, and on an NA there is very little need for it in comparison to a TT. You need to wire a 1megohn resistor into the det sensor connector. details here : http://zhome.com/ZCMnL/PICS/detonationSensor/detonationSensor.html I've seen TT's in safety mode producing over 100hp less than stock on the dyno....the affect wont be as dramatic on an NA...but it would account for your low power reading. The richer fuel maps and retarded timing its running in safety mode will also mean poorer mpg.
  13. NGK PFR6B-11b (or PFR6B-11b) , stock plugs (11b is 1 grade cooler for higher boost) specifically designed for the Z32 TT engine ! Other plugs have longer/shorter threads and portude too much/not enough into the head/bore !
  14. No they aint. ;) Ebay advert was for some D2 8-pot 350z calipers and discs for the 350z.
  15. Code 34 - That will put car in safety mode, which retards timing and uses safety fuel maps. This will have a markable affect on performance.
  16. My TT was uber reliable....for the 2 years I've had until a water leak..no big deal..but when combined with the crap stock water temp gauge resulted in overheating and head gasket failure. My NA gets abused daily and has been completely reliable. In fact the only thing its needed is oil changes and a new set of front brake pads. I had a E34 535is for many years, and have to agree it never ever let me down. Mine was'nt low key though in black with full mtec kit..etc However it certainly was'nt cheap to maintain, the service and bills at MOT time cost a fortune and it drank more fuel than the zed.
  17. All the info is in the links at top of this section, but there you go : http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=70720
  18. 61k on TT (jspec)...although has no engine currently 90k on NA (jspec)
  19. in the TT - 150/155mph many times...and ofcourse there was loads more to go .....whats more impressive is how quickly it gets there in the NA - 110mph , never found the need/want to take it any higher really
  20. Stock tubs are hybrid turbos !, but there are many variations of aftermarket hybrids too. p.s Unless you know for certain (and not just becuase they say so) that your Nissan dealer has plenty of experience with the 300zx I would avoid them like the plague. Very few dealers were ever trained on the 300zx, and ofcourse the employees that worked at those dealers, prob dont work there anymore. Most know absolutely nothing about the 300zx and will never have even seen one let alone worked on one before. Its not unsual for them to not even know the 300zx is a Nissan!...I even had one ask me if it was a Petrol or Diesel turbo when I asked for a 300zx TT Oil filter, and recently I had one try to tell me that the 300zx does'nt have a diff

    I'll be there !
  22. Try http://www.zlub.net , they cater for the Z31 over there.
  23. More than likely it will be wate(from condenstation) built up in your AIV Pipes. See : http://www.aus300zx.com/tech/aiv/aiv.htm or : http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/137858.html
  24. Zcentre sell them for around £1200 Although I know somebody enquired with SWZ Performance about them a few weeks ago, and they could supply for closer to £1k. They are a direct fit, but I dont know of anyone in the UK that has them. The alternative is a H3 and H1 HID conversion kit, and the chrome 99spec inserts like Dave ZX purchased...and your looking at around £300 for HID headlights that look the same as 99spec fronts. If you want HID full beam, then its H1 fitment. (Dipped is H3)
