  1. nowt wrong with cruise control late at night, when your tired, its a long journey and you just want to chill along at a stready motorway pace. ...and since this a MPG related thread....I've returned 33mpg! on a 100mile motorway drive with cruise control set to 80mph.... ....but when I let myself control the throttle the mpg drops significantly ;)
  2. You said earlier they were g-force coilovers ? I posted the g-force coilover spring rates : G-force Coilovers Front 13kg/mm (727lb) Rear 7kg/mm (392lb) Which is considerably higher than the more popular Tein coilovers. Its worth noteing that the ride firmness/harshness is not just down the springs, but the strut damping rates. The spring rates are matched to the damping rate adjustablity range.
  3. I see they have removed the price for the LED rear 99spec lights. Used to be $1400/pair and stated that it can take 2-3 months
  4. Slick pete http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=78581&highlight=coil+packs
  5. stock zed is capable of standing mile in 34 secs. (according to CarTest software) so I imagine there will be a fair few that will do it in under 30secs.
  6. Not that i would sell, but In its current state I would probably have to pay someone to take it away ! LOL :( ..although it would fetch fair bit in just breaking its remaining parts. Interior is now also stripped since that pic was taken :( After I've finished...well who knows, there would be nothing to compare it with.!! as for my Silver NA....about £3k-£3.5k I guess.
  7. You can still have a boostleak and achielve 13psi (and much more), with the boost controller set high enough...and boost would tail off at higher rpms becuase of it.
  8. I compiled some data on this a while back ........... Nissan OEM Front 3.0kg/mm (168 lb) US 2S & 4S NA 2.8kg/mm (157 lb) AUS 4S NA 2.8kg/mm (156 lb) US TT 2.6kg/mm (146 lb) EURO 4S TT Rear 2.2kg/mm (123 lb) US 2S & 4S NA 2.2kg/mm (123 lb) AUS 4S NA 2.4kg/mm (134 lb) US TT 2.6kg/mm (146 lb) EURO 4S TT Eibach Pro springs Progressive Front (185-250 lb) Rear (145-200 lb) D2 RS Coilovers Front 13kg/mm (727 lb) Rear 7kg/mm (392 lb) Tein Flex Coilovers Front 8kg/mm Rear 6kg/mm G-force Coilovers Front 13kg/mm (727lb) Rear 7kg/mm (392lb)
  9. Christ....I feel exhausted just reading about it LOL. Glad you manageed to eventually return home...and any pics from the sauna ;) ? edit: I see faisal beat me to the pic requests LOL
  10. No point just guessing until you have done the ECU test : http://www.ttzd.com/tech/diagnostictech.html or http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/FAQpages/ECUdiagnostics.html Spark plugs are not the most likely cause. Coilpacks, Connetors, harness, PTU, temp sensor, vacumn leak are.
  11. Better low down response, slightly less lag but less top end and less potential power increase when increasing boost. Quicker acceleration - Probably not...... increased torque..no. Any differences between the two are not hugely noticable.
  12. Not in the Uk, no. Unleaded = 95ron Super unleaded = 97ron BP Ultimate = 97ron Optimax = 98ron Tesco/esso 99 = 99ron V-power = 99ron
  13. Coilovers come with maching shocks and springs. Usually you can specifiy the spring rates you want. What make are the coilovers ? I think you will need to order softer spring rate from the manufacturer
  14. R.I.P Initial reports are saying it was a stingray who's venom is pretty weak, and that there was only 1 other death by stingray ever recorded, back in 1945. Sting went through wetsuit and near the heart.
  15. most likely failure is Head gasket out of the list of likely causes. Mainly becuase the cars are prone to overheating problems with so many old water pipes and a dodgy water temp gauge, and the Head gasket is a weak point when overheating occurs. The rings are prone to premature wear on the back two cylinders too, becuase they tend to run hotter. But your not going to know for certain with an unkown engine like that.
  16. How about getting the Z logo embossed. Subtly and classy :)
  17. and welcome to the Darkside buddy :D
  18. Not sure I would take the risk. Rather spend an extra £25 for a set of Powertrix ones from Smithy http://www.smithys-place.co.uk/susp.php
  19. Not sure I have a favourite, but I do like to watch (in no particular order) : Overhaulin Topgear American hotrod Prison Break Malcolm In The Middle Lost
  20. Had a Cream leather suite for a few years, no problems from the dog as he's not allowed on them...but the cats were a nightmare when kittens...considering using them to reskin the parts they claw damaged !!
  21. Great Pics !! Liking your new wheels Alan
  22. dont forget approx 20-25% for Duty & Vat on top too.
  23. Annoyed I could'nt make this one :( :( sorry, Problems this morning meant I had to miss it. Any pictures ??
  24. I was led to believe the wieseco circlip problem was down a bad batch quite some time ago. They are still probably the most commonly used Z32 forged pistons.
