2+2 na 1/4 mile time?
Mart, its an NA ;) Sounds about right, maybe mid 15's would be more expected, but what wheels & tyres do you have and Is it an Auto or Manual ? The Auto NA is a lot slower than the Manual NA, and tyre size and choice makes a big difference in launching ability.

Manual conversion, what other parts should I replece at same time?
Quicker than when it was auto...yes definatly! ..but an Auto engine with Manual box quicker than an original Manual...not in my experience. Differences are negligble in stock form, but with increased boost on stock tubs the original manual pulls harder. but you can drive 10 zed's of similar spec and they all feel different to each other.

Tom Tom
Map Innaccuracies are down to the Map creators and there are a only a couple of companies that provide the map data for GPS software, so most of the Satnav devices share the same maps and same problems.

Flywheel BHP calculation
Differnet people give different figures, but I tend to go with 15% less for Manual, 20% for auto. That would mean about 315hp @ flywheel for yours.

barry boys disgrace
ahhh lol ok. In his own time then fine, but on duty is a bit out of order. Supposed to be setting an example, somebody to go to for help and assistance....not publicly mocking others

A question about junking the AIV
With stock ECU it will overfuel at idle when you remove AIV. Prob wont notice anything, other than increased fuel consumption. I believe all aftermarket chips have the AIV stuff removed. ..and since a decent aftermarket ECU chip can be supplied and fitted for about £75, and improves power, smoothness and mpg and allows you to run extra boost its worthwhile upgrading anyway even if on stock boost now.

Raced a DB9 yesterday and took my clutch with it (i think)
Stock boost ? Up the boost after clutch fitted rather than going for nitrous just yet. Transforms the performance. Bellhousing is the front housing of the gearbox where it mounts to the engine. The rear main seal is a common failure and allows oil from the engine to get onto the clutch.

Z in Scrap yard !!
What sort of scrap yard sells a Zed for £1300 with a potentially minor fault, instead of breaking it for about £3-4k in parts.

Fmic
Yes. However most with FMIC do report no differents in coolant temp or very little increase. A Uprated Rad is essential. Also relocation of Oil coolers.

***mileage***
Thats about 5mpg and definatly is'nt right ! Even if racing on a track.
-
***mileage***
Thats about 12-13mpg and is a little on the low side, but depends how heavy you are with the go pedal. I average around 20-22 around town, low 30's on long motorway run...but low teens when playing.

Air-Con not working!
True. THe 300zx uses R12 gas, which is no longer allowed. Its cheap and simple to convert to R134a There is a 300zx Aircon FAQ here : http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=33691

disc sizes
Stock discs are 280mm, you must have had slightly larger discs from another vehicle fitted with Caliper spacers. Skyline GTR Brembo calipers do bolt on to fit larger discs, but use 324mm discs
