  1. Never ever used it
  2. Your likely to be safe up to about 12psi, although if its an Import then your risking detonation without getting it proplerly mapped for Uk fuels, plus you wont see the true potential without a decent remap. for the sake of £75 I would get an uprated chip fitted.
  3. I think the only unreliable car I've ever owned is a mk3 Ford escort about 10 years ago, it was always a worry just driving to the local shop.
  4. Guys/Gals.....Im thinking about standing down as SW REO.....main reason being that I just dont have the time (and tbh...the enthusiasm) for it anymore :( ..and this has probably become obvious to all recently.... I could persuade myself to keep going if there was'nt anyone else to take over, so this thread is really about asking who would be up for replacement. Whoever it is would need to understand the need to cater for the whole SW region....From Gloucester down to Cornwall, with regular monthly meets on regular dates..... The role would need to be officially announced by Commitee and voted upon, this is just to give a heads up really.....
  5. Love em too....finding an unabused one would be very difficult now though

    Deposit is £10
  7. Looks great Stella....although if I can be honest...the stock front bumper lets it down...plans to swap ?
  8. Having a UK and Jap rad sitting together now I can confirm they are identical

  10. Im dry sumping my new engine in the zed, although its not a VG lump. Advantages of Dry sump : * Being able to lower the main engine into the bay further, which lowering centre of gravity to improve handling and balance. * Larger oil capacity * No oil sloshing around, and pooling in the sump under hard acceleration, braking and turning. * Increased power from less resistence on the crank. * more consistent oil pressure, * adjustable oil pressure * improved scavenging * increased ring seal due to greater pan vacuum.
  11. Take the car out for a drive, and get it into positive boost, then test for ECU codes without switching the ignition off. code34 (det sensor) often does'nt occur until the car is taken into boost.
  12. are you looking to buy or sell ? Im guessing buy from your quote "apparantly will run" Its worth about £2.5-£3k in bits.
  13. ...no he means turbo seals, not exhaust gaskets. In such a case, smoke is caused by oil leaking past the turbo seals and burning in the exhaust. However, its worth getting the car checked at a specialist to confirm that is the problem, as there are various causes for smoke...and smoke diagnosis can be difficult.
  14. If you got a garage to do then your looking at £1200-£1500 to get the engine out, turbos reconditions and engine put back in. Unfortunatly Changing exhaust will not resolve issue, at best it could tempoarily hide the issue.
  15. The £599 fmic kit is by a very long way the cheapest UK supplied setup for the z32
  16. yes, altezzasports http://www.altezzasportsandprestige.com/ for £599
  17. Owned 3. Apparantly only one was actually driven by him, and the other 2 were his staff cars.
  18. You've slowed down lad ;)
  19. can you draw it ? hope damage not too bad bud...were you in the zed ?
  20. Since both are stock except wheels, it would be easier to photoshop your wheels onto Daves car, then alter the colour balances to get a yellow you liked best.
  21. It will depend on your own prefences. Start with 2 front, 4 rear. These are the middle settings. 2 and 4 suit most for road use, and you'll want to turn them up for track use.

  23. You would rather we all imagined the worst instead chris ? LOL
