Standing Down
Andy, IMO - nobody has a problem with the Comittee "as a whole". The majority of you guys play an excellent role, and are are very much respected ! If only all agreed with that!

is it prop shaft??
Also check rear gearbox mount, they weaken, collapse - moving the prop out of alighment. ....and check if any work has been done prior to you collecting the car that may have involved prop removal.....its quite common for it to be refitted 180 degrees out from the correct fitment becuase the mechanic has'nt marked the prop ends when they removed it.

My resignation from REO
If thats what you really believe then Im sorry Jason but thats very foolish & naive presumption to make for the reason everybody is leaving and has had enough

Tyre size for my new rims.
8j is ok for the fronts, but ideally you want 8.5j+ for the rears...... (9.5j is a common width) (standard 16" UK rears are 8.5j) Also a 38 offset with a 8j width will leave the wheels sitting too far in the arches, rather than nice and flush. I would stick 235's on the front and 265's on the rear

Converting NA Front Discs to TT??
Make sure you do have different calipers and discs than the TT. Not all NA's do, only some of the earlier years. (for example my 92 NA has the larger 30mm brakes) I have a full TT brake setup (front and rear discs, pads & calipers) available.

Legrath....are you breaking your car?
No, not given up the V8 project...looking to use another zed for the base car to start with. Mine was already pretty much stripped for the V8 project and has'nt been on the road since May...its just the remaining parts Im selling off now, many that were being replaced anyway. tbh....pretty depressed about the decision  ...swore I would never sell that zed...and now its come to this :( But I still have the Silver NA, and will be getting a new Zed to start the project with..maybe a shortie, slicktop, convertable ...or... later model....

SW REO - Im thinking about standing down. . . .
No I have'nt lost any interest in my zed(s) or the zed scene, im surrounded by at least a dozen of them everday and they are a major part of my life, I just dont have the time or as much enthusiasm for arranging events as I used to have anymore so Im passing the batton on....... ;) As for the club...well I wont pretend its what it used to be, but Im still on here everyday, its just a pity I have to wade through all the crap, rants and politics to get to the real content.

Tyres
Falken 452 Specifications: Treadwear: 280 Traction: A Temperature: A Speed Rating: ZR Although how well a tyre can be rated and even its grip level can't just be put down to the Tread wear rating. One of the great things about the 452's is there progressive nature on the limit. They also ride very well and are low noise.

Life really can kick you in the balls
:( sorry to hear about your job and having to break the zed. We dont have enough high powered Z32's and I was really looking forward to seeing you get her completed.

Tyres
Goodyear F1's lasted me about 10k miles (2 years), but since changed to the Falken 452's and very impressed...as good as if not better than the F1's at a great price...they are becoming very highly regarded.
