  1. pretty sure actual term is "base model" or "poverty spec" LOL
  2. Yowser replied to a post in a topic in Events - UK
    sounds goooood...any date...Im easy :D
  3. 2x Jspec here. Z32's do not suffer from rust any worse than any other car out there in the UK. not true, they have the same under seal protection. You & Paul have 3 zed's anna....2 Jspecs, and 1 rotten UK.
  4. Q45 = Vh45de engine.......speak to "John dixon" for technical info on it, and "Friday" may be able to source one for you.

Welcome. I would delete your address from the post....for privacy reasons......and PM it too Steve-300zx along with your vehicle details (LWB/SWB , Manual/Auto, Colour, TT/NA, Jspec/UK) and he will sort out your membership pack.
  6. bit of an over-reaction ? Pete did say he was just joking for a bit of debate.
  7. Sorry, but there is no way in the world that figure is correct for a TT slicktop. NA's weigh 90kg less than TT's...that would put the JDM NA slicktop at 1280kg... no chance.
  8. The published NA slicktop weight is 1430kg....the TT is 90kg heaver. The Slicktop TT is actually heavier than a LWB NA. An S13 200sx kerb weight is a lot lighter aof 1190kg - 1220kg
  9. not as nice as this Twin-turbocharged Vh45DE 4.5 V8 powered 240z
  10. I think you'll find the weight differences between the two examples is mostly down to the Extra size(length) of the LWB and the Turbos, Intercoolers and associated parts. The Slicktop vs Targa is only a 30kg difference......however its worth noting that the published weight figure is for the slicktop is with its standard non-electric seats which must offer a good 10-20kg weight saving themselves, so the actual slicktop roof only offers a real weight saving of 10-20kg. p.s Nissan consult is'nt up to scratch with the other options out there ;)

  12. If you ran it up to 14psi, then your looking at anyting from an 50-80bhp gain. But before modifying make sure you get the car checked over first. Get it plugged into ECU diagnostics and get your fuelling checked...etc I personally always go for improving handling & braking before increasing power, but the temptations are strong.
  13. People get too hung up on the "type" of Z32 they have. A big difference in the way they drive or perform?......no!! You can drive half a dozen Z32's of the same type and each one will have a far more noticable difference in the way they handle/ride/perform than a straight slicktop comparison. My LWB TT & NA would run rings aroung every Slicktop I've driven.....why? ...becuase I have sorted a suspension setup and that makes 10x the difference that any bodyshell differences make. yes, in reality a slicktop will have more potential, becuase of the lower weight and extra stiffness in standard form.
  14. 245 front on 8.5j, 285 rear on 9.5j is spot on, fantastic balanced handling and no tramlining. 265 on 9.5j rear looks stretched and leaves the alloys open to scuffing.
  15. Im the forum trader for Datascan Software & cable kits (the same as sold by CZP). Both Conzult and Datascan perform the same main functions. They will read Error codes and display the output of all the sensors read by the ECU with datalogging abilities. You can also perform advanced tests such as adjusting timinging and idle, switching off Cylinders..etc Conzult (£265) - is a better Workshop/Garage tool, as it offers additional features that may be used by a specialist, such as Hicas and Aircon Diagnostics. Datascan (£75) - is a better end user tool, it offers all the features a Zed owner and DIY mechanic will need. Its better as a driving aid, allowing you to view all the sensors in easy to see Anaglog gauge format while driving.. It also has functionality for measuring vehicle Performance(0-60mph...etc)
  16. I always fit the Ballansts under the nose cone. It can be a bit tight getting the cables through, but its the neatest place for them.
  17. Eliminator bar would be a lot simpler....you could go the whole way and fit the NA subframe but its a lot of work. no need to remove wing to junk the AIV....just the inner arches
  18. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/member.php?u=2198 (formally known as Daves_new_zx). Last post was this morning, just noticed his title saying "banned"....may not be
  19. We have a Karting meet at end of the month : http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=81235 My Black TT has been off the road for a while now, but I can be seen out in the wifes Silver N/A. (19" alloys, despoilered) I quite often see a Grey one in Bridgwater, and a Yellow one near the college.
  20. no, dont risk it. Have a word with SWZ, they are only just up the road and offer callouts, they'll be able to help. btw - I live just around corner from you in Puriton ! :)
  21. Falkens are gaining quite a reputaion lately. I have the 452's that have superceeded the 451's and they are excellent. The difference between a zed on tired old stock suspension with budget tyres, and one on a decent suspension setup with good quality tyres is like night and day. I've driven so many zed's that would of put me off them for life if they had been the first example I'd driven !
  22. The Developer currently does not offer a Manual, which keeps the cost down. However I have started preparing a Manual myself, for customers...however its still in the "notes" stages, and Im trying to work on it as and when I have the time.
  23. no, you need to set the speed reading to KPH, when you have a MPH convertor installed. The readings will then be in MPH (although it will say "kph"). Common problem with speedo convertors, and they affect PAS & Hicas too.
