  1. The aircon belt is not shared with anything else, just cut the one that goes around the aircon pulley (far right). The pump has 3 bolts, 2 of which are a right pain to undo. You'll need to release the gas pressure if there is any in there, at one of the aircon pipe joins (carefull, R12 is poisonous). You'll have to remove main rad, to rip out the Aircon Rad and give you room to get the pump out too.
  2. I know that the Z32 block is lighter and stiffer than the old block, not sure about ancillery mounts and feed lines though.
  3. Hi, yep. Posted yesterday. Should receive tomorrow if not today. Cheers, David
  4. I dont trust what the manual says...it definatly takes about 4 litres with filter. Just use the dipstick (give the oil plenty of time to drain through though).
  5. Did the import company do the conversion, not heard of Importers fitting an entire UK clock binnacle before....they are rare and hard to get hold of.
  6. Turbo seal failure will naturally occur with age/mileage decatted or not. Sometimes yes, putting cat back on will "hide" the smoke from seal failure. This is what happens most of the time when people decat. The cat that was previously hiding the smoke is removed and the car smokes. It will not fix the seal leaking though. Turbos can last a very long time with leaking seals, and the degree of seal failure varies.
  7. LOL, looks like a deathtrap to me.
  8. It does seem that with pretty much eveery engine pulled there will be at least 1 split mount. I personally would go polyeurothene, much stronger than stock but still retaining its damping properties.
  9. most of those 130 views will be from people who have already voted, viewing the thread again (several times) as it keeps popping up with new posts. and some may bw registered users, who cant vote. Pretty much everybody is going to have OEM mounts, its not a item people really replace, except for when they have engine out and discover damaged mounts. If you wanted a stronger mount for an engine with increased power, then the Polyeurothene would be ideal.
  10. Car would need to be mapped to make use of the octane rating or you would see no benefit over 98/99 ron,. You would therefore need switchable maps to swap between. They have had them at a Few stations local to Race tracks for a while now.
  11. it was a rare optional extra
  12. lol, sorry...it took me long enough to write it, thought somebody might of beaten me. p.s Im too young for radio in the 80's ;)
  13. He asks one of the gaurds "If I ask the other gaurd which door is to freedom, which door will he tell me?" If the gaurd is the one telling the truth he will tell you that the other gaurd will lie and give you the wrong door. If the gaurd is the one that tells lies he will tell you the opposite door the other gaurd (who tells the truth) will tell you. Therefore whichever door he tells you the other gaurd will say, you choose the other door!
  14. Cheers, Received. Will get them in the post to your tomorrow.
  15. Hi Mate, yep still available. £50 for all 6, £5 postage. paypal@interwired.co.uk Thanks
  16. No affect. When you fit bigger wheels, you fit lower profile tyres to keep the same rolling radius. An excellent idea...expect for one flaw.... what would you do at night !
  17. Sounds like Joy riders, in a stolen zed be a bit stupid to run away from a crash involving your own car
  18. Yes, each one of those published times would of been different people from different magazines at different times. Car and Driver Magazine, for example, achieved a 5.0 secs 0-60 and 13.1 sec 0-100mph time in there test.
  19. the weight tpot posted is the fully laden weight, taken from VIN plate. Its not the kerb weight that is used for comparing vehicles.
  20. The kerb weight is about 1550kg for a 2+2 TT Manual The actual weight would need to include yourself and amount of fuel in the car.
  21. Performance is about the same as a Stock TT but with less top-end, not as powerfull, but lighter, although the Auto's are slower. Slightly Better on the track in standard trim than the zed becuase of the lighter weight, but very tail happy, especially in the wet. Not as well built, reliable, comfortable or praticle as a zed, and very thirsty but more hard edged as standard. Great cars in there own way, but not usually ranked the same as the Zed or Supra.
  22. As others have said, £1600 may seem like a bargain...but your first repair bill could be even higher. Close to £40k when new, and it costs the same as a £40k car to run.
  23. While most have had no problems, Some have had issues with the USB Cable. The Serial Cable has proven 100% reliable. Its more than just a cable however, it has the built in micro-electronics board to translate the ECU signals.
  24. I have a new batch of cables arriving Wednesday. Datascan Ver 1.5 - £15 (£20 when purchased Seperatly) Serial Datascan Cable - £50 --or-- USB Datascan Cable - £55 P&P - £1.50 Contact me at david@audionav.co.uk to purchase or for more details. David
