  2. ECU remap chips advance your timing at the most advantage points through the range...and are based on a stock base timing of 15 degrees. If you increase the stock base timing, then there is strong chance of sever detonation when combined with a Chip. Just let the aftermarket chip do the work! It increases the timing at the correct times, instead of just everywhere.
  3. Nice pics guys. Shame the turnout was'nt as big as expected, but good to meet some new faces and the oldie regulars ;)

  6. I have a TT Zed, and a NA Zed for my daily driver.
  7. You will see a noticable power increase by going to 14/15psi. 555 Nismo injectors. Plenum needs to come off to fit them, and fit standard fuel rail. Although most fit them when going to bigger turbos, as the couple of extra psi they allow you to go to on stuck turbos is'nt really worth the £500+ (excluding labour) cost of bigger injectors. Good modification for future mods though. You will need chip mapped for 555 injectors.
  8. 14-15 psi is what most people are running. If you want to go more then 16psi you would need the bigger injectors and intercoolers, but by then the tubs are getting inefficient, so it would be time to go bigger. The JWT is a pretty tame, JD does excellent remaps that are safe and make more power through the entire range. Decat, Lightweight pulleys & Flywheels all make noticable improvements.
  9. Myself and Southwestmech (and Miss_Z and Anna) are going to newport then up the A40. leaving in about 30 mins
  10. I just speed up....they move quicker then :wack: ....atually I find myself often slipping into a higher gear, in an attempt to quieten down the engine/exhaust in villages....except when theres kids/teens/twenties about.......then you put it in whatever gear makes the most noise :)
  11. No idea what a Firenza is, but it looks like a ugly mk1/mk2 escort copy. That TVR Intake setup should be a familiar(ish) sight for me soon :D
  12. I always pictures yours Leigh being finished in some sort of "Special" silver.
  13. I believe the cats are just masking the problem.
  14. Great news, good to see you back online :)

  19. That would be nice....but SWB is only 40 - 50kg lighter
  20. Depends if they are real E46 M3 alloys or replicas. Check inside of rim for a bmw stamp.
  21. I like them, although image is a bit dodgy - very pimp/dealer now.
  22. the mtec bits were also all optional extra's on the non "sport" packages, although they are also popular aftermarket add-ons.
  23. Shocked and Sadenned by this news. R.I.P John :(
  24. Improved reliablity.....as above, it removed loads of potential water leak points and the water pipes are not needed - Nissan overengineering. Plus it makes it easier/quicker to remove and refit plenum.
  25. I have'nt seen the PHNW decat pipes, but all those that I have seen come with there own divorced wastegate downpipe elbows, to replace the stock elbows.
