Welcome, Buying guide : http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/BuyingZ.htm There are several varients of the 300zx. 2+2/LWB = 4 seater 2+0/SWB = 2 seater, shorter wheelbase Targa = Removable roof, all 2+2 are Targa. Slicktop = Solid roof, only available in SWB form(rare). Convertable, NA only (rare) The most common type is 2+2 TT. All UK cars are 2+2 Twin Turbo Targa. Imports had 2+2, SWB, TT, NA, Slicktop and Convertable.

Ugliest current new car?
over your head?

underseal
Yep, be carefull of the targa drainage tube. Its towards the rear of each sill, near the back wheel. Its when this gets blocked that the water finds a new route to escape and causes the sills to rot.

Coilovers
yep, but they are'nt coilovers, just springs (coilovers are expensive fully adjustable shock and spring combo packages). They lower by about 0.8" and firmer than standard without being harsh. THe fronts are also progressive for improved ride.

Engine Recommendations
You would need to source one direct from Japan with that sort of mileage, although they will be a rareity. The other option is to purchase a rebuilt engine.

what injectors do the z32's use?
Yes, stock injectors are at max flow by about 15/16 psi. Most popular upgrade are Nismo 555's

Looking at an N/A
I have a TT and NA, both manual. There is a huge difference in performance, especially the "feel" from inside the car. However the NA is still fairly quick and just as much fun to drive, sometimes more fun, especially round the twisties and roundabouts where you dont need to worry so much about the power biting back like in the TT. But there is always the niggle in your mind that when your in the TT its unlikely you'll come across anything that could come close to beating you, but in the NA there are a lot of "regular" cars that could. The NA is better on fuel around town, the TT better on fuel on the motorway. (due to gearing (TT revs lower at given speed) and TT is off boost on motorway)

Skyline calipers
The Kit is around £50 from nissan. I have'nt done it myself though. Its been known for the problem to occur when fitting new brakes. If you pushed the pistons back in order to fit the pads into the calipers without releasing the bleed nipple and using a line lock then the fluid is pushed back into the master cylinder which "can" force the seal to flip over backwards, causing it to leak.

oops lol yep (corrected now)

left bank tub seal gone
Its an engine out job to remove the turbo's. It can be done with the engine in(with difficulty) by removing gearbox, but it will take just as long and less chance of mistakes with engine out.

Skyline calipers
Everyone uses stock M/C with skyline or bigger brakes. It Sounds like your Master cylinder seal is leaking.

Servicing and tuning in South Wales area
There are currently 3 zed's from South wales at SWZ (southwestz.co.uk - see traders section - http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=110), One more could'nt hurt LOL

Which? Turbos
If looking to keep stock internals, then something like a Rebuilt stock turbo with larger impellor and 360 bearings would be ideal. Not really true....there are LOADS of upgrade paths and turbos available, its just that the majority of the Zed tuning happens in the states and its expensive compared to lesser cars and we seem to be really tight/skint in the uk LOL. Ztech, SouthwestZ, Zen and Zworx, Smithy all offer there own turbo options. Ranging from Rebuilt upgraded stock tubs to turbos from the various big name brands - HKS, Greddy, JWT..etc The most popular Branded turbo's tend to be (in order of size/power : JWT Sport 500 JWT 530BB HKS GT2530 PE1420 Greddy 16G Greddy 18G The stock turbo's are efficient to around 17/18psi , but you'll need bigger injectors and intercoolers if you want to go past 15psi. Stock botteend can handle 600hp, but a hint of detonation and the pistons would melt instantly. Forged pistons available from about £350 upwards. Crank is capable of handling serious power and rods are forged already but both can be upgraded. Upgraded cams available from mild to wild and should be matched to your turbo choice. Stock exhaust manifold is a poor design and can be upgraded, provided quicker spoolup and more power.

Help - lack of power
yep, could be in Safety mode. The Boost controller will stop it going to safety boost but (depending on which ecu chip) the timing will be retarded and using safety fuel maps.

NZR - Fixed my BMW hopefully!
