tbh...you should'nt be experiecing problems on a relatively stock car in this heat with the right fuel...yeh its hot, but most zeds run in this heat everyday in other counties. Turbocharged cars with engine top mounted intercoolers suffer more.

I would have the the stone chip removed, makes the car look a lot more modern. Then I would fit a 99 spec front bumper, and then leave the exterior alone.

Impressive power output. I want that Intake plenum ! There are a few Zed's in the states with constant mid 9 sec runs with half that power and they are Full weight, daily driver zeds, so I expect we will see some better times to come from that escort in the future, with a lighter chassis, 4wd and that much power.

yes, thats a knocking sound.....bearing knocking. Detonation is not a knocking sound, its more of a fast high pitch rattling sound, like a jar of nails being shaken.

not sure why everyone says it will thrash the zed off the lights (Perhaps for the first 10ft or so off the lights depending on driver skill/luck)...the 0-60 acceleration times are about the same for both cars, and 0-100 the zed is quicker. They do feel a lot quicker though

under 70 - Evo and Zed would be similar. Over 70 the zed is faster.
