  3. Welcome, Thats a VERY nice Z you have there. Loving those wheels.
  4. 4.5 litre V8, Quad Cam, 32 valve, VVT. Aluminium Block & heads. Just over 300 stock, but Im looking to get a lot more than that out it with Individual Throttle bodys & custom intake, Dry sump, Modified heads, Cams, Manifolds, Standalone ECU Management......possibly overbored and raised compression. It uses the same Auto gearbox as the Z32, but an adaptor is needed to fit the Manual Gearbox. John Dixon (and Friday) are the real experts on this, and all my information comes from them and other sources, Its a steep learning curve. Its a derritive of the Le mans race-car engine (which is basically just a destroked version of this engine). A smooth, revvy power plant. Very strong, race engineered. Its the engine Nissan wanted to put in the Zed before choosing the VG, becuase of cost issues and concerns that the public would be scared of a big V8 when the compeition were using smaller turbocharged blocks. Its a fair bit lighter than the Stock VG engine too. There are some very high powered (1000hp+) turbo charged and supercharged conversions(I think there was/is a 2000hp supercharged one too) running around but Im looking to keep it NA.
  5. Thanks Leigh, Have been in contact with John. Been meaning to contact you also, PM on the way :)
  6. $5000 ? it says $384
  7. Nissan VH45DE with a few tweaks :)
  8. Mostly these bits....with a few(ok, many) alterations :D
  9. ahh, right. Makes sense. Might be worth speaking to somebody Like Lymon, who runs Zed specialist garage DTA Motorsport in the Netherlands, about sourcing a LHD from europe.
  10. are they legal here ? In regards to Typeface, spacing, colours
  11. You have PM (in a minute :))
  12. lol...its hopeless, I have 4 tubs of nuts, bolts and screws! its a good job that most of the stuff is'nt going back in ! :x:
  13. John does your Laptop have a unused serial port, if so, would you prefer me to exchange the USB for a Serial Datascan cable ?
  14. Project 2006.... I've been...err busy lately - - Engine removed and Stripped - Hicas completely Removed - Aircon completely Removed - Intercoolers and all Pipework removed - EFI Harness removed - Alloys removed (and put on Wifes NA) - Exhaust removed (and put on Wifes NA) - AIV's stuff completely removed - All EGR and Vacumm pipework removed - Bumper removed (for new one) Its Ready for a good clean now ! Just the start of a very long road for what I have in store....Its a very sad sight at the moment and pretty depressing :( I've lost over 60kg of stuff that wont be going back on the car or getting replaced so far and it will be between 100-150kg lighter when finished...without sacrificing any of the interior or asthetics of the car.

Check your insurance small print - they all state that details are held in a central database and that your details are shared among insurance companies. If you have an accident or the car is stolen the insurance company wont hesitate to void your insurance for undeclared information - they'll use any excuse wether relevent or not.
  16. It would certaintly cost a lot less to make the changes to your car, than it would to buy a S15 and a lot less to make all the changes to get it looking like the one above...and that S15 still is'nt half as impressive as a nicely sorted Zed. You've dont so much to yours, it seems a shame to get rid becuase there are just a few more things you want, but are your reasons just an excuse ? I dont know much about S15's, dont really appeal to me, not on the same level as a zed.
  17. Quite likely to still be the PTU. I would swap around coilpacks to rule them out first. (ECU is'nt 100% in showing faults with PTU/CAS/MAF)
  18. Knock sensor is NOT engine out, but it is a fair amount of work. Upper and lower Plenums needs to come off. 4-6 hours work at a guess.
  19. Its 1996 for America, and 2000 for Japan for end of production. The last few z32's were sold in 2001 in japan.
  20. 2000 In fact (japan) ;) , but in 1999 they added revised front bumper, rear lights, spoiler...and other changes including chassis strengthening and minor interior changes. All UK cars and Series 2 onward Imports have 3 point rear belts.
  21. Everybody should stop buying 99spec spoilers !! :( Good choice though ;)
  22. 400RWHP is about 160 rwhp over stock, and is close to 500 fly, which is a 200+ fwhp increase over stock. Did you mean fwhp?, if so there are some out there running close to 400 fwhp with Main problem is that you start hitting fuel limitations at those figures on stock injectors.
  23. That is lowered a lot more than 30mm, certainly on the back. Probably coilovers. Mine is lowered with Eibachs. You can just squeeze 1 finger in the front, and about 2-3 fingers in the rear. My Silver NA is lowered with unknown springs by about (at a guess) 40 to 50mm, but I dont have any decent pics of it with the 19's its currently wearing.
