  1. Put your LWB up for sale at a price that says - 'if it goes at that it goes, so be it....i got a price i was happy with'. We don't know your financial situation but i'd be inclined to hold onto both, they are investments so to speak with no depreciation. Looking at the slicktop as i was on Friday, it does need some work and some work means £££££££, funding this in a proper fashion, my guess would be through the sale of the LWB. Is the slicktop a series 3, about a 93 ?
  2. Indeed, haha....indeed !!! Looks better covered up though, leave it on 24/7 :tongue_smilie:.
  3. I was there yesterday and took a few............ So nearly bought one of these when i was about 19 - Fiesta SuperSport A clue in the picture.... Tickford Capri, my first 2 cars were Capris - when i was 17, 18 I loved these - now not so much but still give me nice memories. Look who we have here - I absolutely love these, one of my all time favs having owned many many fords, this was 190 of just 200 built for the road, it's value..............quart of a million :cool3:.
  4. I'll put a call out Brian and try and get hold of some 20 odd year old dirty bulb globes that block out most if not all of the light, mine are far too clean. A bit of luck the seller might have some original filament bulbs that have the glass blackened out, go with the globes a treat they will :tt2:. They were just some i had bought many years ago, something like this link , you need something quite short to fit inside the globes and to then direct the light straight down. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/White-501-T10-Error-Free-Canbus-LED-Side-Light-Bulbs-W2-10x9-5d-LED42-/161908026726?var=460869868062&hash=item25b2786d66:m:m7KBbK7XGzDJlI1bh6zJGNg
  5. Nice and simple, my rear plate................. And lit up with crisp white led bulbs.....
  6. Moving on now to the tops, to remove the primer i used 120 grit sand paper, where there were slight defects i went a bit lower with a 60 and then rubbed that again with the 120. I used some wire wool also but i have both now at the same condition after the 120 paper, the pic below shows the one on the left sanded and the one on the right yet to do. Just for a little trial on the one nearest the camera, i put some metal polish on and these are getting there already, looks like a brushed finish atm. What i shall now do is go through the papers and then apply the polish which will give them a darker look, sure Mogsy is looking at these pleased as punch :cool3:. .
  7. A quick thread resurrection........... Mogsy gave me his altias to sort, he paid the grand sum of £20 for them - just wait until he gets my bill the lucky swine !! One was bizarrely in primer but this original green el sheet worked, the other sadly no, the original inverter would not work either. There is a plastic blob in each corner, you need to flatten these off and then they can be teased apart, gently though. You'll end with this... And these are the original sheets, i'll be putting red ones in, further down the line.
  8. And i'll be there Friday at around 4.30pm dropping off Tom's diff :cool3:.
  9. Now come on, there's no need for threads like these :ban:. Pie looks good though, yum yum.
  10. He would end up with a fold under the seat belt, he knows..............i couldn't get round there .
  11. Stop making covers and cheating putting seams in, get one piece of fabric, stretch and stick it on, haha !!!
  12. Kind words, i would be embarrassed all weekend about my bodywork and end up talking about that rather than focusing on other matters. I have also left things off it/let things go intentionally with a view to its impending respray.
  13. I am yes but it's been in 'bits' for several months now and i want it complete for a very short while whilst i use it briefly in the next 10 days, then i'll be ripping the guts out of it !!
  14. My new revamped interior is now done, final bits today was to fit the gear knob and then a damn good vaccing out, hope you like. I don't just stick these back in with any old screws/bolts, must be the factory ones, you can see i have used the caps, there's is one at the seat belt side as well, so 3 behind each seat, took me a while lining these up if i'm totally honest but they had to be right. Quite pleased with myself with regard to this retrimming, you might say it's a bit boring but my goal was to give it a stock look and i think it's achieved, not sure i'm liking the pedal covers now though - especially in this pic!! My gaitors and the console armrest were all previously done in a light grey, i bought these 3 red stitching pieces on ebay, they weren't so much and fit very well, i couldn't wait for Mondo to do them - he's a busy boy !! Much much tidier at the back now without my dated amp build on the 'parcel shelf' and the speakers crudely cut into the 1/4 window panels .
  15. Oh dear, very sad news :(.
  16. I refer to the sticky, http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?186066-NEC-Classic-Motor-Show-2016-Discount-Codes&highlight=nec Ideally i want to visit the NEC on Friday because i have other places to visit on my travels. It seems though the club discount code once entered the Friday option disappears, why is that, i despair :surrender:. I believe one can pay on the door.........my thoughts are this will be more than the online price (£29.50), does anybody know please ? £12 to park - phew...................i'll be seeking out something else methinks.
  17. I must admit i did find it strange why this thread was not updated, i was told of the 4 on the 13th Oct through a private pm, so not my place to announce. The members are only just finding out now through being prompted by the Basildon one, spin that how you like...........that is not right, when was it going to be announced :confused1:. You then wonder why there is some frustration.
  18. Finally i have retrimmed everything for a SWB, think it's something like 13 panels, very time consuming but i will say i've enjoyed it, might get these final 3 bits fit behind the seats tomorrow . My SRS steering wheel quarter to 3 areas were done in a nappa grey leather, this no longer goes with the charcoal alcantara colour scheme - so i've dyed them black, the stitching is a give away for what i've done but i can live with that . This will mean that the grey in my knob and handbrake handle will be getting the same treatment very very soon with of course some pics, oh it's coming together very nicely indeed ;).
  19. Beg your pardon, i knew you were close but that's another level !!
  20. I am never going to recognize these...........this quiz is biased towards over 90% of this club :taz:.
  21. One thing i was waiting for was the fitting of my glove box, so having done that today i took some pics, this alcantara is nice stuff.....one cannot help but keep rubbing the pile. The gear stick and the handbrake handle cannot stay with the grey in them, at some point these will be sorted but for now at least i'll just have to live with them :cool3:.
  22. Took delivery of my front ornament today from Japan, amazed there was no duty to pay but i'm not complaining - trial fit below, now put away until after the respray . Then spent some more hours on my interior, did this.................'let me tell you baby i'm a talented boy'.
  23. Look at this pic, my must of been messed with by a previous owner 'T' section and the one i am going to cover on the right from a series 1 - it is short of nothing . Covered my glove box in the alcantara, this is it's rear, all nice and tidy, these are quite easy to do with really just the four corners to pull round. Enjoyed doing this, still time consuming but i've got it pretty much spot on, sure there's a tiny bit of puckering but it aint bad for a novice !! Get this fit tomorrow and then i photo with it all complete up front.
  24. Another series change, this 'thing', i presume is some sort of soft close for the glove box, on my series 4 car it's not there, the bracket on the frame is there but either it's been removed or i never had it from the factory i don't know but i have it now. I foolishly cut round these bolt holes when i retrimmed, not to worry they're only visible when you open the glove box, i've tried to mend but what i am showing here is the caps or bolt covers, i've never had them before now but they were on my favourite not messed with breaker, so it must be a factory thing.
