  1. As much as it pains me to buy your 'cast offs' - haha, can i have first dibs on that Great Mondo pls .
  2. My wiper arms are sound but paint flakes off and with me keep touching them up with whatever black i have to hand, well it's just got more and more untidier, there were a few other not perfect areas as well. So i have attacked them right back to metal and it'll be another part that will be done in satin black at the paint shop :thumbup1:. They're steel with an aluminium base it seems, here's a mid work piccy..........
  3. There was nothing wrong with mine apart from a few layers of paint, this will no longer suffice because as you'd imagine there were areas that were scabby so to speak. I have spent a considerable amount of time prepping these, getting the rubber part flexible again, i am thinking this can be sharply masked off and to match my roof trims painted satin black, will invite views on that as i'm thinking the factory colour is a sort of dark grey ? I also know they can bought which is a consideration although they're not cheap but everything is there on mine and i see it has wasteful to not use them. Here they are partly wet from the paper and the wire wool that were used.......
  4. 'I know nothing'.......about this .
  5. If your car is a 94 then fit the 94 spoiler, i actually like mine and not necessarily secondly it matches it's year :thumbup1:.
  6. Having seen these 'expensive apparently' brackets fitted and commenting i have done something about me not having !! Got myself some steel, aherm....what i mean is some shed door hinges, got these cos they'd be easy to bend but more importantly they were 99p each !! Lightweight sport version brackets these are as well.......hence the need for the holes, no loss in strength you see . Some of the more alert members out there will notice how i have harnessed these said holes - hope you all saw what i did there :sneaky2:.
  7. Happy birthday :).
  8. Happy birthday :).
  9. Nice one Gary, that did actually make me lol !!
  10. Welcome along. Is it the same mechanic Wolfy that was in Inbetweeners by any chance ? Looked to be in his 30's when he was actually 17 :).
  11. You need to isolate each item and see what the battery draw is, either disconnect, pull fuses, may involve turning the key on/off, not easy but when you find the fault it'll shoot down. Could be your battery is useless though. That's the trouble with aftermarket stuff done by someone else, it's unfamiliar, unique to you and is difficult to diagnose on these pages but you'll need to check in turn.
  12. More little jobs done, one altia sill needed repairing so that's been done. Not very exciting i know but below and amongst the dust we see my relay for the diode flash mod, now it is a new 40amp waterproof one, these come with a male and female plug plus 6 inch of wire tails to solder to - much tidier than the older ones where the wires get crimped, then finished off with a 6mm trim fastener . And below we see my arch liners, these were all scrubbed with soapy water yesterday and today satin black applied, looking swell methinks. Also in the pic please note.......because i have a slicktop the 2 x long roof/windscreen trims, i have removed all the coats of paint that were on these so my sprayer can have a blank canvass
  13. These rarely come up for sale so what i shall do is invite your best offers, you can do that via pm if you desire (you may or may not get a reply) or openly on this thread (you may or may not get a reply). The 'winner' will not necessarily be the highest offer and the timing of it will only be a consideration, an early bid therefore will not trump (a little bit of politics there) a later bid, the reason for all my stipulations is because i want to give everyone the chance at winning these, not just to put them up for so and so price and they sell real quick - we all come and go on the forum at different times. Most of the weekend this will stay open and for a guide i want more than i would sell my copies for but less than the Zcentre sells them for, don't forget their postage and VAT :). I bought these 2nd hand myself about 3 years ago, some numpty tried levering them off and caused these marks on the top with a screwdriver, these are only visible when the tailgate is opened and only on the left handed one. I have opened these up in the past but now they're like factory with all their tested and working original bulbs, you can tell they are genuine 99's because they use an offset pin amber bulb/holder, all the studs for bolting in are present as you can see, the nuts you should have from your other set. For a fresh start i have removed the black sealant, i suggest you get a butyl windscreen sealant, this will seal without bonding them in, it can be obtained on the roll if you wish or as a cartridge - like the one here if you want to click....... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Windscreen-Sealant-Window-Sunroof-Cluster-Leak-light-Repair-Sealer-black-/221933629256?hash=item33ac466f48 I will describe these as in excellent condition, they are 2nd hand so will have the odd mark from use but i can guarantee there's nothing to worry about here. I'm only selling these because i bought a brand new r/h one recently and have now matched it up with purchasing the l/h one, otherwise there's no way i would of contemplated selling them.......i was more than happy with them on my car . So therefore, i will send these out next week, strapped as one in some original boxes like below. Postage will be gratis & will most probably be with myhermes tracked. Collection is not a problem with cash and a paypal payment must be pretty much immediate after my decision and of the friends/family type.
  14. What did i do to my zed today, well probably about ten years ago mine as had an impact on the l/h side and 'repairers' have lost parts or just couldn't be bothered because they're not seen , anyhow i have sourced and put back the black triangular plastic cover thing (top of pic), the bumper bracket bracket was also missing (middle of the pic slightly obscured) so this has now been fitted and a oem bolt found, the intercooler metal support was bolted into the brackets bolt hole so this was turned 180 and moved up one. I do have fyi thanks to Lee Dent a totally straight complete l/h side headlight bucket if need be. Just a bit of surface rust on the bumper bracket, i'll wire wheel this back and treat....these do rot. The r/h bumper bracket bracket has never been used in my ownership although unlike the l/h side it was there, mainly down to the fact it's oem bolt was there broken and rusted in the thread on the bumper bracket, this now has been drilled out, tapped and again a nissan bolt found. All makes life easier for when i rebuild, not to mention everything will be as it should be, it's nice and even enjoyable doing all these little niggles .
  15. I need one of the below please, two would be ideal then i'll have one spare just in case, appreciate it thank you. They hold the corner front bracket to the bumper, they just tease off with a smallish screwdriver . You may not of noticed this underrated part, so if you've an old bumper lying around, please look at the brackets for me and see if this clamp is present :).
  16. Z1 sale starts 5pm eastern time, that's 10pm tonight for us .
  17. I've looked at mine and yes it's easy to put some bends in some steel, i shall do it when it all goes back together, thank you for the info that it comes in a kit, i hate it when someone has something like that and i don't !!
  18. That contraband looks very familiar :innocent:. Bracket supports for the cone, i don't have them so mine just kinda dangles - where have they come from......please enlighten me ?
  19. Z1 Motorsports discount code is Z1BF16, it knocks off another 6%. Sale will start Thursday at around 11pm GMT .
  20. Wife not gone anywhere, she's right behind me on my Zed journey :innocent:. At Coventry i bought a genuine r/h new tail light from AndrewG, today i took delivery of the l/h to match . Added this to my basket at the same time, well it was rude not to .
  21. With me taking the wings off mine i noticed there were some niggly things missing on the left side that were there on the r/h side, so i put this right today amongst other small bits. I will be going back again for some more stuff when i can spend a bit longer there soon, he hardly sells anything off it, so it's pretty much how you left it.
  22. Don't think he means child Gaz.........it's a Manchester thing - he means brother or bro !!
  23. Happy birthday .
  24. Happy birthday pal, i took some more bits off 'our' breaker today !!
