  2. Received my new center gear console today and so sees me putting it all back together, with it i bought a new cig lighter escutcheon....25339-89982, they are less than a tenner and worth every penny, like new now, please see the test fit below. I have also made sure all the oem wiring is as it should be, i have fit white here and in the ashtray because white gives off the most light as opposed to blue or red.
  3. To clarify at nissangenuine they're £23.20 without the VAT, although £25.89 is crossed out - might be like that all the time though. I have run a few parts through their website over the last 3 weeks and their prices are spot on imo.
  4. Isn't everywhere cheaper than the main dealer, perhaps someone could check the part number 96931-40P00 with them.
  5. I did my research......from the zcentre the console is £30, from nissangenuine it's slightly less at £27.66 and from czp they're 40USD before anything is added. Shipping for my small lot was £4.99 :).
  6. In all my time on this forum and face to face chatting, i have never had anybody mention these guys from the website below. They are even in Stoke on Trent, so why do we place orders from over the pond and have duty, VAT, etc ? Early in December i placed online a small order of 4 oe parts, 3 were in stock, the gear centre console wasn't and i was told it would be the usual 4-6 weeks from Japan which is not a problem, after just 3 weeks then my order arrived today :cool3:. http://www.nissangenuine.com/
  7. I have some spare front ones, swap for your rears....doh !!
  8. Looks a bit odd without front spats, you should seriously consider removing those rear ones :tt2:.
  9. Yeah, it's very poor light in his 'shop !!!!
  10. This was in my car until recently and although was in good condition there were just a few areas that bothered me, therefore to sell i needed to improve it and i have spent many hours on it rubbing back any minor marks, i applied some primer which revealed a few more marks and consequently these were attended to also. Yesterday every 30 mins i applied thin coats of satin black and it has turned out incredibly well, in fact i think i'm mad selling it !! And that's the reason it's up for what it is, i believe new these are in excess of £100, no alarm led holes in this and no fog light switches. Just transfer over your clock and you're good to go. I removed all the vents in the process, these are in perfect working order and match my handy work. One of the screw holes in the bottom that hold the claw clamps on as been reinforced with some hot glue to be on the safe side but with pry tools this console goes in and out no bother at all, need to mention that, as i want to be honest here - this is a nice piece.
  11. Another improvement in my eyes, this is a different radio console i've had for a while now and when clean is in very good condition, so over the last few days i have migrated over and bonded in the GReddy controllers from my previous console. The steel plate was fitted previously in its natural silver colour, i did think about doing it in black but decided on my tried and trusted metallic grey paint and then lacquered :cool3:. My interior is either red or blue so i did contemplate lighting up the 'build' with a red el sheet but decided to stick with the blue......matches better imo.
  12. Credit must always go to Groover - he has 24 patents pending with regard to the mirror control lighting up. I have a new centre console on the way which inspires me to make sure everything is either done, redone or improved upon....this, one of the latter .
  13. It's the controller for the cd multi changer Graham, doesn't work or rather it's not wired up to anything, all i've done is wire it up to the light circuit, so that it's buttons illuminate, it's quite a rare piece to have although pretty useless sadly ;).
  14. I don't expect you to remember but in post 248 i fit, to put me on, a matching console armrest and the two gaitors. When i was at the NEC someone put a seed in my head that i'd want the armrest in the same alcantara as everything else and yes that man was correct. I stripped my armrest back a few days ago and noticed it was cracked, therefore weak, a visit to the scrap yard to my favourite breaker was my remit today and i got this in sexy tweed but mint !! Hard to miss the two brackets, the smaller one is for a SWB and the larger one for a LWB, until today i didn't know there was a difference. I decided in my wisdom to apply some extra foam, very thin i know, so the difference is subtle, in my quest to be different i proceeded, here it is loosely glued in place. The charcoal super suede then gets applied, it drags and holds everything in place, secured on the underside . Here it is loosely fit just to show, very nice it is to :thumbup1:. Now out of the car and showing the bracket holding the lid up perfectly. The reason it's off is because a certain Great Mondo will be doing me the two gaitors in my supplied matching fabric, the red stitching ones are being binned off, the new ones will have some silver stitching which will match with the door card armrests he kindly did for me, the gear knob and steering wheel will be done in a similar style .
  15. Doesn't it say 'DEPOSIT TAKEN'.
  16. Having bought myself some more alcantara for little bits, i set to and covered the side interior trims above the doors. When i first got the car the vinyl that was on them was very poor, think it was a shrinkage problem, so i got my upholsterer friends to quickly cover them and to be fair they've been ok for many years but these now much better and matching .
  17. Appreciate it might not be local for you but didn't know if you were stuck or not, he does know me btw, just mention the silver 300ZX and he brought it for wheel alignment .
  18. Nice one Dan . This place is near me, check it out........ http://phoenixmotorsports.co.uk/
  19. Here he goes again.......'you just couldn't let it lie' !! Have you seen this thread, put up only today :tt2:. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?186408-quot-Criticism-of-cars-quot-in-my-defence
  20. Eeek - that little cutey does need some love in it's life .
  21. Relax - satin black, like my window and roof trims they will be, however if my car was black they'd be body colour ;).
  22. Because the aluminium base is soft, the wire wheel i used to clean off the flaky paint cut grooves. Got out flap wheels on my dremel and starting with 80, then 240 and finally 400, quick rub with 1000 paper i end up with this, shame to cover with paint i guess .
  23. Now is the time to buy them i suppose when my car is in bits, trouble is yours are damaged iirc and mine are all actually ready to go....albeit as you'll take pleasure in reminding me the wrong size !!! If it's bothering you having them there, throw them in the package deal with the lip .
