Gumtree Z
Does leave you wanting more, unless the ad is rushed and there are more pics to follow, you should certainly take up your quota of free pics on a car advert - i thought the all idea was to get people to your door . Unless the interior is full of stick on gauges everywhere and a bay full of multi coloured pipes .

1995 Silver Series IV Slicktop Version S - Taking To Another Level
The bulbs are white, well that 1990's yellowy white, take the rubber johnnys off them, then get some craft red paint on the underside of each switch and it'll look like the pic Gaz. You will need to get into the controllers wiring, so just cut some sheaths aways and find the ground, then put 12v to one of the others and you'll have light, the lcd display lights up subtly as well. I did, it takes the brunt of all the spray from underneath, come up well aint it :yawn

1995 Silver Series IV Slicktop Version S - Taking To Another Level
Not quite got all my interior back so no pics tonight, it's looking very nice however, both the handbrake handle and gear knob are fitted, should be all done tomorrow. I spent time on this cd controller that is mentioned earlier in this thread, it doesn't do anything apart from look good and i like having it. Today i made the buttons brighter than they were previously by getting rid of the green rubber johnny things that were buried in its pcb, much better now and in red, comes on with the sidelights, you cannot see once the armrest is down .

1995 Silver Series IV Slicktop Version S - Taking To Another Level
Soon have my interior back together now because yesterday i fit the gaitors to the consoles, incredibly impressed with how the holes on the gear and the holes and the slits on the handbrake one line up, makes life easier that's for sure. I've had other gaitors over the years and frankly the holes have been all over the place but with Mondos - well practically spot on and here's a pick to prove the fact..... Then the plate goes on, this a brand new gear console btw, these alcantara gaitors are looking good, i'll soon be showing them the right way up .

Unbelievable !!! Zed parts
You mean that still has not sold !! There's a broken front fog light knocking about somewhere on ebay, advertised as such but at least you could use some parts off it i guess, however the seat control cover - diddly. I'm going to buy it and throw it away for them, a bit like you do Si when you see a Veilside front .

What you make of this devise.
I've had one of these for over a year now, they are certainly handy to have - had a friend outside my house who was struggling, soon had it started and the booster wasn't fully charged at the time . http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suaoki-G7-Car-Jump-Starter-Battery-18000mAh-600A-With-Mini-Air-Compressor-Green-/252627284632?hash=item3ad1c27298:g:HMUAAOSwcLxYIfI5

JaiKai - MK2 - Ziggy Build
I always have found them a bit tame for something like this, to scratch the rust off i'd use a grinding wheel on the dremel.

1995 Silver Series IV Slicktop Version S - Taking To Another Level
I've only done the simple interior parts Tom, anything that requires any sort of skill or stitching i have to get a friend in, he was busy so i had to turn to Mondo :innocent:. Just waiting for my paint guy, he's overseeing his own property restoration atm but as soon as he's back up and running at his premises he'll get on with it. I'm not bothered at the wait Ian - it's sorn declared all dry and cosy, it'd be off the road anyway at this time of year.

Factory Steering Wheel in Very Near Mint Condition.
This early series steering wheel must be as good as it gets 2nd hand, front and back. I removed this myself from a breaker about a month ago, left it untidy until i paid for it (insert sneaky smiley here) but i did realize it could well be nice and so it was to be after i cleaned it up. No wear marks at all which is incredibly strange, just the odd mark and i mean that, there are two that are on the right hand side and barely visible, i'm being very honest here, i wouldn't ask for the price if i didn't think it worth it. You want oe then here it is, all totally factory. No cruise buttons or airbag - just the horn push pad with the original Z badge, both totally mint. Have a good look at the pics but there's nothing to hide here.....it's lovely. Postage is included but only to UK mainland.

1995 Silver Series IV Slicktop Version S - Taking To Another Level
Simon, thank you for the great bespoke service, liaising, everything really in the buying refurb process. I resisted all temptation to go with red stitching and very nearly went with black although my initial thought was silver, a nice happy medium is the dark grey. This now completes my interior and I cannot wait to get it back together, so watch this space .

Ultra Red Build Thread
Nice read but i didn't know you had such relaxed burial rules in Ireland :confused1:.

600hp does not need an upgrade, only for piece of mind, if there's nothing wrong with the oe leave it alone .

Replacing/refurbsihing the door/t-top moldings
They are expensive, some will say well worth it but i've spent many many hours on mine taking off the 'patching up/half a job' paint jobs from over the years and i expect them to turn out very well once the satin black is applied professionally. I don't like throwing away stuff that with a bit of effort can be turned around. I can see why people do buy new though, getting flexible new rubber is a big plus on the window moldings but mine are not bad at all - if i'm not happy in any way, option 2 of buying new is the route i'll have to take but i think this atm is doubtful.

Third brake light bulbs - which ones?
Yes i know he his Joel. I'm not sure either owing to the fact the tbl strip is all i have here, bulbs look the same though and the red bulbs, orange, etc, i describe is all in the same vein.
-
Third brake light bulbs - which ones?
I have read it before saying that the led, cree, smd, type bulb or whatever is brighter but in most cases they are not, filament bulbs are bright. I am happy with the ones i have in my 3rd brake light and i will not go chasing anymore, led can work but i do know where Si is coming from, the pic below is with the 4 x red smd's, picture does not do it justice really, these are a lovely red .

Third brake light bulbs - which ones?
I've had red smd bulbs in my 3rd brake light for quite a while now, always believing they were redder and that is fact, backed up with a quick bench test i did today. Here is a pic of the said quite long smd bulbs i have in use.... The incandescent 13w ones, the maker of the ones i own are Stanley - like all filament bulbs these do get incredibly hot very quickly, the smd ones barely get warm. Here are all the red smd bulbs fitted, the spread of light is actually quite good, down to the fact perhaps they are 360 degree and have some length about them.... Top two positions have now got the clear factory bulbs fitted, brightness does not compare.... And from the front, side by side there is a colour difference through the red outer diffuser but otherwise you'd not notice the difference and you'd think the colour was red when you brake but really it's a tad on the orange side. I do like the redness of mine and the fact they don't get hot, they are not as bright but imo bright enough. Some pros and cons here for you, they've been very reliable but if the smd ones did give me any bother at all i wouldn't hesitate in going back to the 13w ones....

1995 Silver Series IV Slicktop Version S - Taking To Another Level
I never intended doing this job today but when i picked up my scuttles, i noticed they weren't up to scratch. So i spent 'only' 5 hours on them today getting rid off past paint build up, regretted started the job at one point because i thought the nitromors was not a good idea and messy but they came good after using lots of wire wool. Not bad as they stand now but the plan is to sand back some more and get even smoother. I've bought a few pairs over the years, so i don't know if these are an exact pair but as you can see they are two different colours once taken right back. I could satin black myself but the plan is to hand them over to my paint guy for that professional finish . .

wiper pod rear wanted
Not that one Gaz, that's the one i'd call a radio console 20mm screw, they are for the underneath of the pod though, 2 of, each side. And anyway with the flange they foul a little as they go in, so even the 15mm long ones would do the same, so i wasn't happy driving home. I've used these below anyway, sorry not the best picture, the head on these is a little smaller and even though only 10mm in total length long maybe a bit short but they do go in, without effort, nip up and it's secure but i would like to know for sure which is the oe screw.
