rays alloys on the z32
Well the stock 350z tyres are the wrong size. I can't remember by how much though. There are calculators online which will tell you the impact on your speedo. http://www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresize.html

rays alloys on the z32
See my rides for pics and tyre sizes. The tyres are sized to compensate for the larger wheel

Blackadder's written off his F1
I'm sure he'll get it fixed. I was looking at some pics of other cars McLaren have fixed some being pretty bad inc fire damage. There was only a little over 100 made and they're too valuable nowadays to simply write-off. They can command anywhere between 1.5 - 2 million, although Rowan's does have a relatively high mileage for the type of car. McLaren will restore it to as new condition but the bill will be frightening.

Just got back from Turkey, anyone missed me?
No - it was nice and peaceful :tt2:

have you seen this tax disc!
It does for me - £460 per year for the GTR :mad2:. I bought mine in Mar 2010 so managed to avoid this first year car tax boll*cks Just lazy i guess
-
have you seen this tax disc!
Its the first year rate thats made is so high. Subsequent years will be approx half that amount. It came in from Apr 2010.

What do ya think?
Sorry but :hurl::hurl: Can't see it helping your aerodynamics or your pursuit of speed!

New GT R on TG
It's a facelift and a minor one at that. Driving lights in the front bumper and a diffuser at the rear. Slight boost increase and revised software for the gearbox (mechanically gearbox is the same). Updated launch control. Different wheels. Oh and a facelifted price as well - from £61k to £70k - still a bargain though in comparison to its rivals

J??? PCW (i think) in Southport
Black zed at approx 21:30 parked on the car park by the coast road. Two people sat inside enjoying the view (or something :sneaky2:)

Ten thousand miles.....
Glad to see she's still treating you well. Good mileage too - not too much or too little - just enough to keep it ticking over nicely. Might see you at JAE this year?

anyone else tried to race a gtr the r35?
Wow as much as that :tt2: Its a far better marketing strategy to seperate out the cars. For the GTR to be seen as a viable alternative to the Supercars its compared with, you can't have a base model lurking in the background.

I'm sorry but the r35 is all the better for being seperated from the Skyline. The Skyline GTR r32/33/34 were just a high performance versions of hum-drum cars. Very effective version, but still no escaping the fact. In order to meet the goals of the engineers and produce a true comptetitor to the Porsche 997 Turbo and others it was far better to produce a new car from the ground up rather than compromising and adapting a existing car.

anyone else tried to race a gtr the r35?
Granted but the facts don't lie. Evo timed the following: r33 - 0-60 5.4secs, 0-100 14.3 secs r34 - 0-60 4.7secs, 0-100 12.5 secs r35 - 0-60 3.9secs, 0-100 8.4 secs Comparing tuned cars, or "I was faster on the track" is irrelevant. The only valid comparison between the cars is stock for stock and with the same driver.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. For me the r34 is ugly and boxy. Between an r33 and r34 - i choose a r33 everyday. The r35 isn't designed to be beautiful, its purposeful and aggressive looking. Pulls it off well i think. Err no they're not. r34 was officially rated at 280bhp - perhaps pushing a bit over 300hp in reality. r35 rated at 480bhp - pushing 505bhp in reality. Based on owners dyno runs from the GTROC. Modified cars can't be compared - then it all comes down to individual modifications and how far you want to push it and budget. He's in the minority then. As a regular on the GTROC there are very few reported problems even on the highly tuned models. As with any car the very early cars (typically the jap imports) had some issues, but a very reliable car it seems.

What a Awful Day
Did you not set up "Find My Phone"? Its free and built into the iPhone 4. Just have to register. Allows you to track and remotely disable the phone. Worth doing if anyone else has one.

1990 With 14,000 miles!
Wasn't the spoiler an option on the NA cars?
-
1990 With 14,000 miles!
It may be clocked, might not be thats the prob with the Jap imports. However, it does look very clean. But £6k for a Automatic NA without leather?? Don't think they'll be many takers even with the low mileage. We know of cars with lower mileages :sneaky2:

Out of hibernation (briefly!)
I love the 99 spec updates. Nice and subtle but truly modernise the car. The rear lights look a little washed out in the pics, but absolutely spot on in reality. I do like the standard look as well though, Nissan did a fab job. My standard car will be staying "original". Standard cars are a rare beast.

How much for a polished plemun?
Smithy - were you polishing them yourself or getting someone else to do it? They look absolutely fantastic

who sells...
If you find a supplier of the Injen set let me know. I wouldn't mind a set myself :thumbup1:

Out of hibernation (briefly!)
Something struck me today. I've owned three zeds so far, all UK cars. Yet I have never ever driven one with the t-tops off  Have to do something about that once its back on the road.
