  1. Looks well made. Only concern is it may be too big. You don't want any part flapping around in the wind or it could mark the paint.
  2. The black GTR's have incredibly soft paint. I think its a question of balance. An uncovered car exposed to the elements against a car cover. Especially if the car is going to sit unused for some time. If you are going to use a car cover the car should be cleaned beforehand. Not all sponges are bad. It's the cheap ones in DIY stores and petrol stations that are. Proper detailing sponges are fine. Two bucket method is a good way of avoiding swirling as well
  3. The cheaper plates are a nice way of disguising the true age of the vehicle.
  4. Worth what someone is willing to pay and in these financial times probably not a lot. The online comapnies always seem to advertise high prices giving people false expectations, but they are open to offers, often don't own the plates themselves and price them high to get a decent commission. I bought a plate. It was advertised on a dealer site for £2500 and looking at other similar plates may suggest its worth that type of money. I paid £800 straight to the owner. Its a buyers market and unless a plate has a usp they're not worth as much as people seem to believe.
  5. How about a pic of it on so we can see how well it fits
  6. :happybday: Happy Birthday Daz. The Big 40 !!!:lol: Have a good one  :happybday:
  7. Seems reasonable enough to me. I've always fancied having one done in Silver for a fresh stock look
  8. How much did it cost to get the plenum done?
  9. Can't get much more original than that. Stunning. Shame about the interior colour though Until mine comes out of hibernation :tt2:
  10. Only one of the foglights works anyway. the left one is a dummy.
  11. It's a 1997 with coincidently 97,000 miles on it. If you want any further info let me know and i'll send you the ad and pics
  12. I'm just about to put a e39 535 up for sale
  13. Far too much to post on the forum - the wife might be looking :scared:
  14. Nasty. Thankfully it'll never make production
  15. K reg Silver Convertible on Ainsdale beach, Southport 1pm ish Common as muck these verts
  16. No. But adaptors i.e. Nissan to ISO are available.
  17. I think you should do it Daz, keep you busy over winter. Unless you finally go for the TT conversion - then do that instead.
  18. I suggested it last year as well. Nobody listens to me
  19. When I attended JAE last year it seemed a bit daft that we all had to individually vote for the "most stock zed", "highest mileage", "lowest mileage" etc. If we are having those factual categories then 1 or 2 nominated people should judge those leaving the opinion based awards e.g. "best bodykit" or "best interior" etc to the rest of us for the vote.
  20. How's it mounted - laid over the top or recessed or what. How about some decent pics Can you run datascan or consult on it?
  21. Just need the Gay porn loaded on for JAE and your set Looks great matey
  22. As said above could be a bit of dodgy wiring. Has anyone fiddled with the wiring, particularly the light circuits. Dodgy Daz used to operate in your area :tt2:
  23. I vote bottom but a little further forward :) Probably :confused1:
  24. Cheers Peach. If you were closer i'd be sending it to you for a detail. Its never had a final machine polish since it was painted.
