Matt, gloss or satin.....??
Personally I don't like them body colour. Always think it looks like its been resprayed and they could be bothered to mask it off! I'd vote satin i think. Not gloss (although Andy's above does look mighty fine)

what EBC do you use?
Profec B for me. It fits nicely in the centre console where the clock was for an "almost" factory look

Opinion about z in the wet conditions
In comparison to a modern RWD car Zed's are pretty crap in the wet. Softly softly is the approach and without much provacation the back will step out. This is in comparison to a number of newer RWD cars I have owned, one of which a e90 BMW 330i which had similar performance to a TT zed, but needed serious agresive driving before it would even show a hint of oversteer or requiring traction control intervention.

Worth geting locking wheel nuts? If so, cheap or expensive ones?
For the price of locking wheel nuts you might as well - far cheaper than new wheels and tyres. I've recently bought some McGard ones for my BMW. I think you just want something with an internal thread otherwise they'll just hammer a socket on or something to remove them. McGard do get good reviews and arent much more expensive.

The Beast advert?
There's no discussion to be had IMO. No one would look twice at his car going down the road, unlike the zed. His is the older model that is starting to look dated. Not old enough to be classic like the zed, but not modern enough to be current. It's got the power and the noise, but struggles to put it down and the equilvilent year BMW M5 would run rings around it handling wise and consequently quicker. Very much so. Don't see the appeal of them - he must spend all his time explaining to everyone how its got this "great" "powerful" engine blah blah despite looking like a bag of s**t. Big wallowey hector of a car

Work for free? would you ?
You don't need the advertising do you? I thought you always had work booked in. The shows not local either is it so any potential clients could be some distance away. My opinion - not worth it.

Double Din - Z32 Zone
My understanding is that z32 zones double din panels are still modified originals, albeit professionally done. Nissan never made double din panels themselves. Funkysi bought one (through an agent)

just been done for my reg 10mm out
Firstly it relies on the traffic police reporting it to the DVLA. They hate paper work so that likelhood of that is low. If they do you will receive a letter from the DVLA informing you that you plate has been noted incorectly displayed and warning to rectify it. If you are stopped again they may consider recalling the plate. My wife was stopped in our car for a mis-spaced plate. All the letters correct size and legal font, just where the space was. We paid the £60 fine and havent heard anything further. The plate hasn't been changed either :shifty:

Should I have expected more from a specialist garage??
In my opinion there is too much discussion about the tone of the messages/complaint etc. The key point is was the work carried out to a reasonable level? If not Vijay is within his right to bring it to their attention and ask for an explanation/refund as appropriate. We must remember that this exchange of words is between a customer and business, not forum members and therefore regardless of tone a level of professionalism is expected of the business. Part of running a business is dealing with customers and complaints. I have been impressed with Jeff's knowledge and business, having used their services myself in the past. I have to say that I would not be happy with the bracket repair on my car.
