  1. Hope you got a big suitcase!
  2. Nice looking wheels, what make are they?
  3. I would say so, £40 each for genuine Nissan automobilia.
  4. Something to bear in mind if you are just using a smart charger - if the battery is absolutely flat (check with a voltmeter) then you may need to jump a good battery to it for a couple of hours to get the voltage reading off zero. Smart chargers like the CTEK 5 Amp (the one I have) have a dead battery (as in kaput) check at startup which can mean they sometimes won't start the charging cycle on a completely discharged battery (as I found out myself).
  5. Bit of Pulp Fiction there... Lance: Still got your Malibu? Vincent: Aw, man. You know what some f***er did the other day? Lance: What? Vincent: F***ing keyed it. Lance: Oh, man, that's f***ed up. Vincent: Tell me about it. I had it in storage for three years, it was out for five days and some dickless piece of shit f***ed with it. Lance: They should be f***ing killed. No trial, no jury, straight to execution. Vincent: Boy, I wish I could've caught him doing it. I'd have given anything to catch that asshole doing it. It'd been worth him doing it just so I could've caught him doing it. Lance: What a f***er! Vincent: What's more chickenshit than f***ing with a man's automobile? I mean, don't f*** with another man's vehicle. Lance: You don't do it. Vincent: It's just against the rules.
  6. That looks like storage or transport damage. Before you give up with it try removing the third brake light and apply upward pressure to the bend in the spoiler (see arrow below). The spoiler is formed of a thin steel frame covered in foam and then the plastic outer skin. You may be able to deflect the steel frame back at that point into shape. It's worth a try as the J6030-42P28 spoilers are by far the best fit and finish compared to fibreglass replicas that I have seen (and I have experience of both).
  7. If you mean the banjo fitting then yes.
  8. It's all about the details. Thanks for the writeup Andy.
  9. It's more PM than aesthetics: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2610744/Here-is-how-it-works.html
  10. These are baby's but still pretty cool. You can see the same size in this old photo of a Nissan dealership:
  11. Pair of vintage Nissan garage signs listed on ebay. https://ebay.us/cGqfyJ
  12. Nice interview, thanks for sharing.
  13. Sure, https://jp-carparts.com
  14. These turned up recently from Japan and *very* expensive for what they are but needs must for the OEM look:
  15. I think you are right, the other thing I noticed is that the boot carpet doesn't look OEM and the cabin carpet looks faded in places.
  16. Was there a reason for going with 245/45's rather than 245/40's?
  17. Oops - he was! The original thread featuring Stephen appearing in various unrelated images (with respect to the OP): https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?178279-Simply-Japanese-Honest-John-write-up&highlight=simply+japanese
  18. Why not publish the site stats on a regular basis rather like Gary does for memberships?
  19. I think it should be opened again Gary. The thread was a useful and fun place to read a daily fix of Zed trivia - just that. If folks aren't interested in that stuff then simply don't click on it! By all means encourage members to start and maintain their own discussion and project threads for more in depth and permanent writeups but in my view the "daily" helped in its own way to get people to regularly visit the site. Stephen, I'm sorry to read that you are taking a back seat so to speak, I hope you will stick around. Remember the fun times...
  20. Z1 in the States can supply them: https://www.z1motorsports.com/z1-silicone/z1-motorsports/z1-silicone-na-intake-hose-set-p-5201.html https://www.z1motorsports.com/cooling/z1-motorsports/z1-silicone-upper-radiator-hose-na-p-2555.html https://www.z1motorsports.com/cooling/z1-motorsports/z1-silicone-lower-radiator-hose-p-7441.html
  21. Reading the instructions it looks like you could also connect the "coil negative" to one of the ECU's ignition coils outputs (1,2,3,11,12 or 13). Here is the circuit diagram for the ECU circuits. I would pass that onto their helpline people and ask them to confirm. ec-12.pdf
  22. Lovely day at Goodwood for the BC. Great to meet up with those that made the event. Thanks to Chris we managed to get the cars on the track at the famous pit straight with Ian's slick top together with the three UK specs of Chris, Gary and myself!
