  1. I have the US '96 FSM which includes a section on the Air Bag system. Any use to you?
  2. Do you want a copy of the FSM?
  3. Well I certainly didn't spend £80 on mine!
  4. Have you changed the brake fluid and bleed the brake system since importing the car? Calipers working properly - pistons moving freely? Pads in good condition and known manufacturer? Discs good?
  5. Well done Pete - I will make it to one of those sessions!
  6. If it is a Toad AI606 then the specified immobilisation circuits (usually fuel and starter motor) are described in the installation guide: Ai606_Install.pdf Trace the black immobilisation wires to where the circuits were cut and rejoin the wires back together.
  7. Which Toad system have you got?
  8. Great read, thanks Gary. BTW does anyone know the make of the wheels on the yellow car featured in the picture strip? They look remarkably similar to the Blitz Technospeed Z1's.
  9. Fedex operate a system by which they pay the duty owed to HMRC on your behalf to speed customs clearance. They also charge a £12 fee for doing so. The shipment number on the invoice should match the number on the packaging (if you still have it) and the online tracking for the package. There is a FAQ web address on the letter giving further details. I have had the same letter for stuff shipped using Fedex from CZP and paid up when I got the letter. It is unlikely that Fedex will forget to chase the outstanding payment.
  10. Who was the letter from?
  11. Took the car today to a MOT test place that I hadn't used before and passed with flying colours. Before I went I swapped out the HID bulbs for the standard Halogen bulbs just in case. After the test I spoke to the examiner about fitting aftermarket HIDs to the car and he explained that if they were of the bulb and invertor type plugged into the projector he would not have passed the car. How he would know if the HIDs were aftermarket and not factory fitted I didn't ask and he didn't tell me. I did ask about fitting '99 spec OEM HIDs and he told me that since they were manufactured by Nissan for the Z32 and I could show that and the bulb and projector were designed to work together he would pass them. He wasn't bothered by a lack of the "E" symbol on the glass. The fact that the car doesn't have self leveling fitted didn't matter either. Of course my experience may be down to an individual examiners interpretation of the rules, but I thought I would pass it on.
  12. CZP list most of the important bits for the '99spec. https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-infiniti-nissan-jdm-62022-vp125-nismo-1999-fairlady-z-jspec-oem-front-bumper-fascia-cover-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32_p_1996.php This is the parts diagram for the '89 spec (US model, but pretty much the same as for Jspec).
  13. G4+ Installation manual for Z32: Link G4+ Z32 installation manual N300+.pdf Product description from one of the retailers (near me): https://shopbhp.com/products/link-g4-300zlink-n300-plugin-fits-the-nissan-300zx-z32

  15. These are all the part#'s for a 99spec including the bumper itself and side lights:
  16. Assuming a '89 Jpsec one then the part# is 62022-40P28. Still showing here: https://www.allcarpartsfast.co.uk/nissan/nissan-6202240p28-bumper-set-fron/ By reference, in the states: https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-infiniti-nissan-oem-factory-front-bumper-fascia-twin-turbo-tt-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32-62022-40p28_p_5335.php

  20. Great Club spirit - give that man a round of applause!
  21. If you don't have success on here there is one up on eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-300ZX-Z32-1990-1999-Hazard-warning-switch-button/123293352760?hash=item1cb4db4338:g:xNAAAOSwPWRZPw75 Have you checked that the harness plug for the switch is connected properly?
  22. I look foward to reading about your Link install then. For myself, having already invested in an EBC, Selin, RLTC all of which work prefectly well I'll stay with the stock ECU and go the Nistune route when the JWT530's and the rest of the "bolt-ons" get fitted. We can compare notes in due course.
  23. I'm not disputing that. Of course it is a slow processor compared to modern CPU speeds. However, for most folks starting out on their tuning and upgrades it will work fine and Nistune makes it much easier to setup and monitor. When you get to the level of say Howard or Nick with their ~600hp cars then yes it makes sense. But is it an expensive route requiring new sensors to get the full functionality and in most cases replacing existing stuff like Selins, Boost controllers, EBC, boost solenoids, knock sensors, MAFs etc and if you are lucky to have one RL traction control.
