  2. Capacity below from FSM (includes UK/Euro specs with cooler). I use Redline MT-90 Gearbox Oil. Gearbox became noticeably smoother after about 1000 mile run in.
  3. Something got lost in the translation there!
  4. That's a nice round number for the bhp. What is the wastegate fault?
  5. And I will come over and watch! Would be great to catch up Dave.
  6. Those pictures are of Z1's 58mm TB's using another OEM TB's (I'm not sure what car they came from). They stopped selling them as customers were experiencing problems down to poor machining. http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2436993/Anyone-else-have-issues-with-their-Z1-58mm-throttle-bodies.html They went onto producing their own CNC'd 58mm TB's and after two versions stopped selling them. The V1's had all sorts of problems again with machining and QC. I'm not sure why the V2's were discontinued. http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2488772/Z1-Motorsports-58mm-CNC-Throttle-Bodies-V2-now-available.html
  7. This information may help you re going over 54mm with stock throttles: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2471347/The-problem-with-the-barrel-method-is.html The work by Robert (Rob'Z) in the states on modifying stock TB's is here: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2471246/Fun-with-the-CNC-lathe.html This a picture of the throttle shaft milled down:
  8. Can you position the filter cartridge and head to cover the holes?
  9. Sorry to read of your loss. Thanks for the information.
  10. Provided you bide your time you could get a very nice UK spec for that price. For example the car in this thread subsequently came up for sale at £22K back in July '18. https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?188339-New-Owner& https://imgur.com/gallery/PjMlJ
  11. My advice would be to take your time and not rush into things. What is your budget? You could import a SWB from Japan using an agent to arrange things. Have you considered that?
  12. Excellent! Who did the tuning for you? Is it the link G4+ PlugIn (the one that replaces the ECU board inside the factory box)?
  13. Well that will open up the search area for you!
  14. Great to see you keeping the Zed faith! What stand alone ECU are you using?
  15. I'm after a drivers seat to temporarily replace the one I have fitted during the respray. I'm not bothered by the condition so long as it will bolt down in place and is sound. If you have one to spare I would be very grateful. I can return after use if required.
  16. SC, as someone in the motor trade would you give us your interpretation of the record you posted in relation to L69 RKW. I also noticed that the MOT history record for L69 RKW gives a fail in Feb '14 for "Rear registration plate fitted to the rear does not have black characters on a yellow background (6.3.2b)". Could the car been imported from Republic of Ireland which have black on white rear number plates?
  17. Well considering you are doing all this work outside in the middle of winter I'm well impressed Russ! Will be great to see the car again back on the road this year.
  18. Thought I recognised the car. https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?188336-Uk-Z-sale
  19. Considering how much other Z32 spares can cost, this is amazing value for a brand new updated gearbox: https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-infiniti-nissan-oem-98-spec-manual-transmission-assembly-nissan-300zx-twin-turbo-tt-z32-32010-54p21-kt_p_813.php https://www.z1motorsports.com/manual-transmission/nissan/98-spec-tt-manual-transmission-speed-p-1684.html
  20. What's involved is in the FSM pages posted above.
  21. They will go nicely with the BDE intake pulleys.
  22. Marc, for your reference these are the FSM pages and Owner's manual (LHD) for the convertible roof: BF 796-800.pdf 1993 OM Nissan 300ZX p63-71 Convertible hood.pdf In addition this is a Technical service bulletin issued for convertibles: NTB92-092_1OC23_CONVERTIBLE_CAR_WASH_AND_REAR_WINDOW_CLEANING_POLISHING_PROCEDURES.pdf
  23. The diff used in the TT Z32 is a R230. This info may help: https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?114740-r230-diff-ratios&p=1116685&viewfull=1#post1116685
  24. There be something in your spelling Nick! Nice gear BTW, not many folk running that kit.
