  1. I only have this picture (in Japanese). Is this the type you have? The air bag light is in the middle of speedo and tach gauges (shown as SRS).
  2. True, but your with your original plan you would still be buying most of that stuff anyway using the stock tree?
  3. How about using an oil filter with a built in bypass/relief valve? You could then get ride of the oil tree and existing lines and use a remote take off fixed directly to the block (you would need to plumb in the pressure sensor in a new location). Plumbing would then go: Remote take-off outlet to oil filter inlet->oil filter outlet to 'H' oil thermostat->oil cooler inlet->oil cooler->'H' oil thermostat->remote take-off inlet.
  4. Fair enough. There is also a space opposite the A/C dryer which I used for the relocated CC which could accomodate the remote oil filter. The oil feed and return lines would have to be routed past the radiator. What does EPR have to say on the matter as it's their sump design making this issue?
  5. I know this is a BNR but you can see what I was getting at earlier re oil filter location:
  6. Well done Howard - one down one to go!
  7. Great to see that you are now sorted and that Luke was able to get the OEM part to you in good time.
  8. Launch date was indeed February '89 in the US. However cars were being manufactured before that date.
  9. This is a handy guide Richard. Although for the rear hubs, the principle described will be the same for removing and replacing the front studs: http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_images/How%20I%20Changed%20Rear%20Wheel%20Studs.pdf Superforma made the 40mm spare wheel spacers for me and did a very good job.
  10. Have a great time Peter and enjoy your R&R!
  11. Here is some ammo for you: To support the launch of the Z32 in the US at the Chicago Autoshow (February 11th-19th 1989). The Nissan Shatai factory in Japan started producing the new Z32 300ZX cars in late 1988 alongside the run out Z31 model with production switching over completely to the Z32s during 1989. From “Nissan 300ZX 350Z. The Z-Car Story" by Brian Long. This is a photo showing Z31's and Z32's on the production line together.

  13. Capacity below from FSM (includes UK/Euro specs with cooler). I use Redline MT-90 Gearbox Oil. Gearbox became noticeably smoother after about 1000 mile run in.
  14. Something got lost in the translation there!
  15. That's a nice round number for the bhp. What is the wastegate fault?
  16. And I will come over and watch! Would be great to catch up Dave.
  17. Those pictures are of Z1's 58mm TB's using another OEM TB's (I'm not sure what car they came from). They stopped selling them as customers were experiencing problems down to poor machining. http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2436993/Anyone-else-have-issues-with-their-Z1-58mm-throttle-bodies.html They went onto producing their own CNC'd 58mm TB's and after two versions stopped selling them. The V1's had all sorts of problems again with machining and QC. I'm not sure why the V2's were discontinued. http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2488772/Z1-Motorsports-58mm-CNC-Throttle-Bodies-V2-now-available.html
  18. This information may help you re going over 54mm with stock throttles: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2471347/The-problem-with-the-barrel-method-is.html The work by Robert (Rob'Z) in the states on modifying stock TB's is here: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2471246/Fun-with-the-CNC-lathe.html This a picture of the throttle shaft milled down:
  19. Can you position the filter cartridge and head to cover the holes?
  20. Sorry to read of your loss. Thanks for the information.
  21. Provided you bide your time you could get a very nice UK spec for that price. For example the car in this thread subsequently came up for sale at £22K back in July '18. https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?188339-New-Owner& https://imgur.com/gallery/PjMlJ
  22. My advice would be to take your time and not rush into things. What is your budget? You could import a SWB from Japan using an agent to arrange things. Have you considered that?
  23. Excellent! Who did the tuning for you? Is it the link G4+ PlugIn (the one that replaces the ECU board inside the factory box)?
  24. Well that will open up the search area for you!
