  1. Gary and family, sorry to read of your news. It is always the hardest and most painful decision that comes with the package of pet ownership. It is one we know at the beginning of the time we have with them that we will be responsible for making on their behalf at the end. If she could, she would thank you for giving her dignity at the time she needed it most. Remember the good times you all had with Rosie - it helps. -Andrew
  2. Have you asked Mike@MJP for a quote? He is an authorised agent for Stillen. -Andrew
  3. The photo of the PS cooler is from my '94 UK car with hydraulically actuated Hicas. -Andrew

  6. This post on TT.net shows the installation of a Nismo Euro Spec Oil Cooler Kit: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2212694/Nismo-Euro-Spec-Oil-Cooler-Kit-21305-37P00K.html It is the same as installed on my car from the factory (the pictures are clearer than I can take the moment with all the other stuff in the way). This photo shows the power steering cooler taken through the bumper. It is fitted on the mounting bracket you can see in the pictures in the TT.net post. This is the parts diagram for UK/Euro power steering piping (hydraulically actuated Hicas): -Andrew
  7. If you wanted to take it to France to keep or sell on, you could contact Hubert who exported a UK Zed there for advice: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?166760-A-Z32-driven-to-France-for-a-new-or-continued-life-into-a-nice-home! and the "for sale": http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?164830-SOLD-1990-UK-300ZX-twin-turbo-wide-body-%28501bhp-499lbft%29SOLD -Andrew
  8. Agree, and they also seem to be able to make their motorways billiard table smooth. Something we seem unable do in this country. -Andrew
  9. 1 litre will do the job. BTW, should be plenty more for us over here as it has been banned from sale in the US. Why? Because it is blue... Continental announcement
  10. Yes, used it for some time now, no problems. Also bought from ECP. To make full brake system flushes easier, you can alternate with ATE Type 200 which is the same specification but yellow in colour. Makes full flushes easier as you can see the colour change in the bleed pipe.
  11. This is the experience of Greg Dupree from Specialty-Z with stainless and inconel manifolds: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2347243/INfo.html With the Z32 the problem of cracking is made worse by the weight of the turbos hanging off the manifolds. For a time SZ insisted that to provide a warranty against their inconel manifolds cracking that their test pipes with flexible joints were also fitted. Ultimately SZ stopped selling inconel manifolds and went with cast iron from Mike Smith. -Andrew
  12. These are the relevant pages from the '96 service manual. They are easier to use than earlier service manuals for diagnostics. el-183.pdf el-184.pdf el-186.pdf -Andrew

  15. For a second I thought you were getting rid of yours! Love the prose in the description of the car - formidable, incredible, beautifully smooth, handsome, exquisite, thrilling, seductive, elegant, evocative, unrivalled, ferocious, awesome, unsurpassed... -Andrew
  16. Although HIDs pull quite a lot of power at startup (~10amps for a modern ballast), it quickly settles down (around 1 second) to below the power used for halogen lamps during normal operation. -Andrew
  17. This explanation makes sense to me: http://www.ehow.com/how-does_5047404_carbon-canister-work.html
  18. How do you get to your fuel pump relay in 5 seconds?
  19. Looks like a solution looking for a problem... -Andrew
  20. The one I got came from an R33. I would have thought the others would be similar, but I don't know for sure. The photos below give two views of the CC I am using for your reference: I blanked off the outlet near the air filter and extended the existing CC lines to the new loaction (including the line that runs into the frame rail). I am using HKS SMICs (for now). I've left the OEM overflow bottle in position and swapped the OEM UK washer bottle for a Japanese version which is smaller. I've got the OEM vents in the liner (underneath and behind the ICs). You can see that there is quite a lot of space behind the IC when you relocate the CC. Not so good for the washer bottle side, but better than it was. Photos below (the overflow bottle photo is from another car):
  21. The canister came from a GTST (T for turbo model). I posted a wanted on the http://www.skylineowners.com forum. Think I paid about £10. The original CC I removed had two purge connections, one of which went to the intake pipe near the air filter. The GTST CC only has one purge connection. Otherwise plumbed in as before. -Andrew
  22. José, most if not all of the clear light kits that were available on ebay were simply made from the Acrylic or Styrene Sheets used for as Fluorescent Light diffusers. Here is an example from a UK seller: http://www.allplaz.com/acatalog/Rigid_Plastic.html (Light Diffuser Sheets) You should be able to get the same material in France. Use your existing orange lenses as templates. -Andrew
  23. Welcome to the chrome handle club! -Andrew
  24. Like a lot of people I removed the original Carbon Canister from the car to improve airflow through the larger aftermarket IC. http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/6901.html However, I wasn't happy with the smell of petrol (not strong but definitely there) that resulted. This was most noticeable when opening up the garage, especially on a hot day. I felt this could potentially mask a more serious problem with a leak from the fuel pipework in the engine bay. My solution was to refit a smaller CC from a Skyline GTST relocated to a new position in front the engine radiator and reconnect all the pipes as before (except the one on the intake pipe from the air filter). Result, no more petrol smells and no CC behind the IC to disrupt airflow. -Andrew
  25. I doubt it, the description says as much. -Andrew
