  1. Oh a UK one! That one is not far from me (check dealers website).
  2. It would make me *a lot* more cautious. Some of them are up to 24 years old, so could have got through that many owners. History and servicing records would be key. I would want to know that the car had been looked after and money spent on it as needed, rather than ragged and then passed on.

  4. Yes, just bide your time and keep looking, don't rush. There are good ones out there, and in the club that come up for sale. Your trade should help keep you from making a poor choice. Autos can be converted to manuals successfully, so don't discount a sound one. What's your budget?
  5. There is not much meat in that brace, particularly in the folded part above the bolt.
  6. Why do you feel this to be the case? A Selin Dual MAF Translator is a worthwhile mod even on a car with just an improved exhaust system.

FYI - Porsche are now using a very similar system to Nissan's HICAS on their new 911 GT3: http://press.porsche.com/news/release.php?id=766 The relevant bit reads: "For the first time, Porsche is employing active rear wheel steering to achieve even higher steering precision and improved lateral dynamics. Depending on the speed, the rear wheels steer in the same or opposite direction of the front wheels, improving stability and agility."

  12. Have you checked the ECU for fault codes?
  13. You must have a registered parking space and submit certification (shako shomeishou) to the police to own a car in Japan, although the requirement may be waved in rural areas.
  14. Adam, many thanks for sharing your photos. The RAAF Point Cook museum looks wonderful, and I will make a point of visiting it when we come out to Australia on holiday. My late father served in the RAAF before transferring to the RAF before the start of WW2. He flew in Bomber Command. Amongst his photos was this one. I'm not sure of the type of aircraft, but he was either flying it or in the next one in formation. The photo is annotated "Point Cook 1930".

  17. Yes, but could use it to carry your surf board though! There are ski resorts further south in New South Wales.
  18. It seems *a lot* of work (and cost) for minimal gain to me. If you must do away with the stock overflow why not go this route? If you have removed the carbon canister there is this much room left, even with the stock overflow in place.

  21. If you contact (adl) phoenix with your VIN he will look it up and tell you when it was made. Mine was born in November '93, but not registered until May '94. I did the PTU upgrade myself.
