Missing my Z!
No, during 24th Dec storm. We are on high ground! There was just so much water coming of the airfield and Kenley common which are a few metres higher.

Missing my Z!
Yes she was/is. Only got to about 1/2" depth. Most of the important stuff was off the floor. Carpets (yes I know) have been chucked out. Concrete floor now has a thin layer of brown silt. All dried out now. For that night Kenley Airfield (we are close to it) got 53.6mm of rain. Forecasters have another big Atlantic storm for Saturday... Happy days!

Missing my Z!
Miserable? I'd put it *a lot* stronger than that! My garage/workshop got flooded out during 24th Dec storm. No lasting damage fortunately. Not like those poor folks down your way.

southbend clutch vs rps CLUTCH
Yes, Z1 are also listing the original "red" flywheel (which I have). SZ also make a modification to the friction disk. You would need to check with Z1 if they do/have the same.

southbend clutch vs rps CLUTCH
Well I'm using the RPS setup (now Specialtyz): http://specialtyz.com/shop/default/sz-sport-street-for-vg30dett-and-vq35s-242.html http://specialtyz.com/shop/default/sz-flywheel-vg30de-tt.html Smooth take up, heavier pedal feel than stock, but not so much as to be tiring. Flywheel has rebuildable facing.

cam cover area whirring noise
Was the cambelt change a 60K or 120K service? Normally idlers would be changed out at 120K, unless there was signs of wear. Your invoice from Zedworld should say what was supplied/changed.

Speciality Z stock internals/turbos claim 499rwhp
Why do you think Nissan let her down? At the time all Japanese manufacturers adhered to the "gentleman's agreement" of not going above 280bhp domestic and around 300bhp export.

do-luck power lines
Assuming we are talking about stock brakes and lines, then both front and rear calipers have short hard lines between the caliper and the flexible line. The connections of the flexible lines being female and therefore a replacement flexible line also having female connections. Library photos:
