  1. There is not much meat in that brace, particularly in the folded part above the bolt.
  2. Why do you feel this to be the case? A Selin Dual MAF Translator is a worthwhile mod even on a car with just an improved exhaust system.
  3. FYI - Porsche are now using a very similar system to Nissan's HICAS on their new 911 GT3: http://press.porsche.com/news/release.php?id=766 The relevant bit reads: "For the first time, Porsche is employing active rear wheel steering to achieve even higher steering precision and improved lateral dynamics. Depending on the speed, the rear wheels steer in the same or opposite direction of the front wheels, improving stability and agility."
  4. You can get another view of the figures by looking at the MOT results for Z32's: http://good-garage-guide.honestjohn.co.uk/mot/nissan/300zx This gives 679 Z32's ('89 - '94) passing their MOT's (the HJ data set is only up to Sept '11).
  5. You won't be disappointed. Very nice bit of kit.
  6. Yes you can. It's not ideal but doable: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?173357-Aftermarket-Chip-Analysis-amp-Comparison&p=1778343&viewfull=1#post1778343
  7. Pictures for you: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/faq/FAQpages/tempfan.html
  8. Have you checked the ECU for fault codes?
  9. You must have a registered parking space and submit certification (shako shomeishou) to the police to own a car in Japan, although the requirement may be waved in rural areas.
  10. Adam, many thanks for sharing your photos. The RAAF Point Cook museum looks wonderful, and I will make a point of visiting it when we come out to Australia on holiday. My late father served in the RAAF before transferring to the RAF before the start of WW2. He flew in Bomber Command. Amongst his photos was this one. I'm not sure of the type of aircraft, but he was either flying it or in the next one in formation. The photo is annotated "Point Cook 1930".
  11. Sorry, I must have missed that.
  12. But you are going to replace your PTU?
  13. Yes, but could use it to carry your surf board though! There are ski resorts further south in New South Wales.
  14. It seems *a lot* of work (and cost) for minimal gain to me. If you must do away with the stock overflow why not go this route? If you have removed the carbon canister there is this much room left, even with the stock overflow in place.
  15. Thank you. I've just had a look at their website. I'll order some from their online shop.
  16. Very nice preparation work. Which NeutraRust product was used?
  17. If you contact (adl) phoenix with your VIN he will look it up and tell you when it was made. Mine was born in November '93, but not registered until May '94. I did the PTU upgrade myself.
  18. Whereabouts in London are you?
  19. Had those a while too, very nicely made.
  20. Best wishes on your birthday Rob!
  21. Sorry to read that you have lost your pride and joy. Main thing is that you and others were unhurt. -Andrew
  22. The main reason for the hood "insulation" is for fire supression in the engine bay. Either the plastic fixtures melt or the hood binder material burns off and the hood drops down and acts as a fire blanket to smother the flames. It is not intended to put the fire out but rather delay its progess and give the occupants of the car more time to escape. The hood itself is made from fire resistant fibres. How much time is another matter, but it is primarily there for that purpose.
  23. Do you know what the reason is for it being fitted in the first place?
