R.I.P Mr.K - father of the Z car.
Sad news indeed. At 105 he had a good run and leaves behind a legacy which we all enjoy each time we drive our cars.

Wanted Uprated Good Radiator
The Koyo radiator will work with fan cowling and lower mounts without modification. The stock bonnet strut brackets will need to be swapped L/R so they clear the end tanks and notched to grip the radiator top lip (there are also aftermarket brackets available for straight fit).

Fitting 99spec rear lights
Works fine, compared to OEM sealant easier to fix lights in place and when removing them. Doesn't damage the plastic of the lights and puts much less strain on the fixing studs as the units are mounted in place. I also have two unused rolls of OEM sealant that came with the '99 specs that you can have for £15 all in.

Rusty Turrets...
Is it just me or does "Rusty Turrets" sound like it should be a character out of Disney's Car films?

actuators ?
You get round the problem of a single port actuator slowly opening the wastegate as the manifold (boost) pressure rises by using an EVC (HKS for example). Correctly setup, the EVC will not allow pressure from the inlet mainifold to reach the wastegate until the set pressure has been reached. Once the set mainfold pressure has been reached the EVC signals the EVC solenoid to open and full manifold pressure reaches the wastegate actuator. This keeps the wastegate firmly shut until the last moment.

Main Beam White LED H1 Bulb Fitment
Looking at the bulbs side by side, the focal points are completely different between the two types (Halogen and LED). The LED may produce more 'light' but it will not be focused in the reflector in the way it was designed for a halogen lamp.

water from expession bottle?
The seals in the small washer pumps can fail and allow washer fluid to drip out. Check for leaking directly under each pump. A replacement motor is the fix.

99-spec window switches - an alternative?
Which magazine was the article in? I'd love to see a scan of it if that was possible in due course?

have a read throught this thread i just found its a bit old but funny about a 300zx
At least this comment in that BB thread is correct: "Personally I think half the appeal in the old ZX's is the Q-car nature of them. They're sledgehammer fast with velvet glove looks. If you start adding wings and vents and bling they just become another 2F2F wannabe tomy toy"

at what power level is to much for the road?
"at what power level is to much for the road?" The level at which the performance of the car exceeds the ability of the driver to control it safely.

Go on then, who just outbid me on ebay
This was the experience of Greg Dupree from Specialty-Z with stainless and inconel manifolds: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2347243/INfo.html With the Z32 the problem of cracking was made worse by the weight of the turbos hanging off the manifolds. For a time SZ insisted that to provide a warranty against their inconel manifolds cracking that their test pipes with flexible joints were also fitted. Ultimately SZ stopped selling inconel manifolds and went with cast iron from Mike Smith.

Zed turning over, won't start. Ecu problem
Have you checked the ecu harness plug is fully and correctly seated in the ecu socket and the individual ecu harness wires have not been pulled/broken from the plug? Was the wooden kick board not installed?

Go on then, who just outbid me on ebay
Why are you after tubular manifolds rather than cast ones?

- auto switch under steering column
Does it look like this? In which case it would be for operating a parking mast (visual aid) fitted to the n/s front bumper. They were available as a Nissan option for JDM cars. Item 1 in picture.- for those looking for a zed...
