  1. On that theme, this is quite subtle:
  2. Best wishes on your Birthday Joel!
  3. Some say that he threw a punch, and that he appears to be at the end of the road. All we know is that he is Top Gear.
  4. This may also be the problem: http://specialtyz.com/blog/?page_id=178
  5. Best wishes on your Birthday!
  6. Thank you all - much appreciated! Enjoying a weeks holiday on the north Norfolk coast.
  7. The car won't actually be sold until the seller has received the payment agreed in the offer.
  8. These links are from the Project 300ZX originally published in the Sport Compact Car magazine and cover amonst other things porting the VG30DETT. http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticles/ID/1508/Engine-Tech-Building-the-Nissan-VG30DETT-part-1.aspx http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticles/ID/1672/Engine-Tech-Building-the-Nissan-VG30DETT-part-2.aspx
  9. Involves welding to caliper mounting hub lug:
  10. Sad news indeed. At 105 he had a good run and leaves behind a legacy which we all enjoy each time we drive our cars.
  11. The Koyo radiator will work with fan cowling and lower mounts without modification. The stock bonnet strut brackets will need to be swapped L/R so they clear the end tanks and notched to grip the radiator top lip (there are also aftermarket brackets available for straight fit).
  12. Works fine, compared to OEM sealant easier to fix lights in place and when removing them. Doesn't damage the plastic of the lights and puts much less strain on the fixing studs as the units are mounted in place. I also have two unused rolls of OEM sealant that came with the '99 specs that you can have for £15 all in.
  13. Looking forward to the next instalment Tom!
  14. Good to see the targa panels off for Aberdeen, and welcome to the Club!
  15. Is it just me or does "Rusty Turrets" sound like it should be a character out of Disney's Car films?
  16. You get round the problem of a single port actuator slowly opening the wastegate as the manifold (boost) pressure rises by using an EVC (HKS for example). Correctly setup, the EVC will not allow pressure from the inlet mainifold to reach the wastegate until the set pressure has been reached. Once the set mainfold pressure has been reached the EVC signals the EVC solenoid to open and full manifold pressure reaches the wastegate actuator. This keeps the wastegate firmly shut until the last moment.
  17. Looking at the bulbs side by side, the focal points are completely different between the two types (Halogen and LED). The LED may produce more 'light' but it will not be focused in the reflector in the way it was designed for a halogen lamp.
  18. The seals in the small washer pumps can fail and allow washer fluid to drip out. Check for leaking directly under each pump. A replacement motor is the fix.
  19. Congratulations James! Best wishes for your new role.
  20. Best wishes on your Birthday Richard!
