  1. What a heartbreaking thing to see.
  2. If you have put DOT 5 in then you will need to flush the system out.
  3. DOT 3/4/5.1 fluids are polyethylene glycol based, and are suitable for our cars. DOT 5 is silicon based and is not compatible with polyethylene (DOT 3/4/5.1) fluids nor is not suited to ABS brake systems.
  4. Here is a Kaminari fitted to a slicktop viewed from two angles:
  5. And just how strong can be see in this example here: Thread: http://www.300zxclub.com/showthread.php?t=226941

  8. I would say your more OEM+
  9. Sounds like fun and I would be up for a run.
  10. Excellent - onwards and upwards!
  11. For myself, the standard I felt comfortable exhibiting the car at the NEC Classic car show was for her to look, feel and smell as she could have done when coming off the Shatai line in November 1993. That's the OEM+ benchmark I aspire to and having walked around the rest of the show pretty much all of the cars I saw were immaculate original examples of their marque in every detail – bodywork, wheels, interior and engine bays. Although my car was not to the unbelievably high standard or originality of many of the cars I saw, she didn’t look out of place either and I was happy with that and the reception she got along with the other two Z32s on the Club stand. I came away from the show appreciating that every detail counts when presenting cars at this level.
  12. That's great news, nice photos!
  13. Happy to display and attend for the duration.
  14. You can strongly bond the riveted metal brackets to the doorcard fibre material by treating the area with Ronseal wood hardener and then using epoxy adhesive (or similar). The wood hardener soaks into the fibre rather like fiberglass resin and mat and dries to provide a stable surface for the adhesive to bond to.
  15. Along with applying a light grade oil, you can also adjust the set screw - correct tension is necessary for the fan to work without squealing. http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/FAQ/FAQpages/tempfan.html
  16. Best wishes on your Birthday Tom!
  17. My way of dealing with the problem (now two for the dual maf setup), is have the HKS filters mounted as high as possible behind the '89 spec bumper and the upper slot in the bumper covered by the number plate.
  18. Much the better course of action and I look forward to your "What did you do to your zed today?" post to say that you have carried out the cambelt change.
  19. Having read the "for sale" post, I think you are going to have lots of fun with your new project - well done!
  20. No need to drill holes: When you are using cavity wax in the sill sections (I used Dinitrol aerosol cavity wax with 60cm lance) it helps to know where you are trying to get to with the product. This photo shows the complex sill structure in cross section. You can get at the various sections from inside the car, the plastic door sill plate fixings and the hole at the front of the sill located behind each front plastic wheel arch liner. 21. Best wishes for the rebuild and it will be great to see your car join the band of Blues Brothers!
  22. Congratulations on your purchase and great to see a Euro spec car back in good hands! All three pumps (2 for front and rear windscreens and 1 for headlights) are mounted on the washer reservoir. Item 7 is the headlight washer pump.
  23. Surprisingly it has been done to a slicktop in the US.
