Try Mike@MJP first as he does keep US->UK shipping costs down by combining many customers orders into bulk shipments. It might take a little longer using him though depending on when you place the order and his next shipment date.

For the effort in getting the car safely up in the air to get at the sump plug and drain the old oil you might as well change the filter at the same time. Sure the filter can last longer (and so can the oil I use for that matter) than the 3k miles I might do in a year, but for me it's just piece of mind.
