  1. It is eminently possible to convert from R12 to a later refrigerant like R134a. I would find a specialist who knows that. This is a suitable write-up to get you up to speed on what's involved: https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/index.php?title=R134A_Conversion Nissan published a very detailed Sevice Bulletin describing the procedure in detail (more than needs to be done, see above) but here for reference NTB96-023a.pdf
  2. Got a link to the ones you have posted? If you are running stock (or R33 brembo) calipers and keeping the short hardlines (see link below for example) from the calipers then yes. https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-infiniti-nissan-oem-300zx-front-brake-caliper-fluid-line-tube-rh-z32-46245-33p10_p_6045.php Here are the Technafit I've used in the past: https://conceptzperformance.com/technafit-teflon-coated-stainless-steel-brake-lines-nissan-300zx-z32-nis-1300_p_1886.php
  3. From the guys that brought us the lovely "300ZX vs Supra vs RX7" video (here) this is their latest road trip up the North American pacific coast from San Francisco to Seattle in a 300ZX and 928. Stunning coastal scenery and roads along with gorgeous film work. A road trip in a 300ZX to remember! Watch in full screen.
  4. Currently up for auction in the US with bidding now at $26,000 with 5 days to run a highly modified and clean example. Normally modified cars don't do so well in these auctions but this one is making good progress so far with the bids. Worth checking out the engine's performance figures in the listing. For the power the stock brakes look a bit underwhelming! https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1990-nissan-300zx-twin-turbo-84/
  5. Either way, onwards and upwards prices are going.
  6. There are several pipes which drop through the floor via a block from the ABS unit in the o/s boot area under the plastic trim cover. The pipes under the floor are all susceptible to corrosion damage. You will need to get under the car to see which has gone. If one has the others are probably on their way. https://nissan-europe.epc-data.com/300zx/z32/2954-vg30dtt/brake/462/#462B_001
  7. Nissan FAST record for the car. Good luck in your bidding. https://nissan.epc-data.com/fairlady_z/gcz32/6035-vg30dtt/?frame_no=GCZ32-560810
  8. Do you mean this one by any chance? https://www.carandclassic.com/auctions/1996-nissan-fairlady-300zx-twin-turbo-8qvrPg
  9. Lovely attention to detail and prep - gonna be a goodie!
  10. Best wishes on your Birthday Adam!
  11. I don't (as yet) have anything further on the brakes fitted in the Dubai car Tom but this info may be of use to you. R32 GTR disks are 296mm as opposed to the Z32 stock 280mm, so slightly larger (and thicker) The R32 calipers and discs will fit under stock wheels with a thin spacers. http://twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2529643/The-R32-kit-and-variations-on-it-are-pointless-in-2013.html pics: https://www.300zx-twinturbo.com/tech/gtr/gtr32brake.htm
  12. MOT history shows up nothing serious. As far as OC are concerned: https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/09041004/insolvency
  13. They should come (for the heat range) pre-gapped. https://www.specialtyz.com/ngk-iridium-ix-spark-plugs.html.html
  14. That kit uses stock sized 280mm disks though.

  16. Came across this lovely example (now sold) at Tomini Classics in Dubai. What caught my eye apart from the superb condition of this car was the big brake kit fitted under the stock front wheels. I've seen cars with the stock calipers moved out with larger disks under stock wheels but this looks to be a BBK with much larger calipers and two piece brake discs. Very nicely done. Right click on images in link for nice hires. https://www.tominiclassics.com/featcar/nissan-300zx-twin-turbo/
  17. More info on the car here: https://japanesenostalgiccar.com/kidney-anyone-ridley-scott-super-bowl-300zx/ and pictures: https://www.yugobernie.com/images/Cars/Z32_Commercial/
  18. The loop is in series with the diff oil cooler. There is no explanation in the FSM as to the purpose other than the line is described as "TUBE ASSY-DIFFERENTIAL OIL COOLER" in the parts system. The whole diff cooler sysem was introduced by Nissan after very high speed runs in Germany and is largely redundant for normal driving conditions. This is the FSM page for the UK/Euro spec cars which have it fitted (click image for better res). I can't see why you couldn't do as you suggest and bypass the loop. BTW you appear to be missing the bumper fixing clips that fix the bumper tabs to the chassis in your pictures above (link for ref): https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-infiniti-nissan-oem-rear-bumper-fastener-nissan-300zx-z32-85071-30p00_p_6114.php
  19. Best wishes on your Birthday Richard!
