Actuators for soft top. 300 ZX convertible 1993
I would be surprised if they have all failed at the same time. I would in the first instance check the electrics - fuses, switches, connectors and wiring. To save you time here are the pages from the '94 and '96 US spec (LHD) FSMs which cover the convertible roof and lid. Both include the wiring diagrams, the '96 has a later style of circuit depiction (also see page EL-163). An auto electrician should be able to work off these pages. 94 BF47-53.pdf 96 EL161-169.pdf

Zed pics - any excuse......
One of the above photos is of Bude if I'm not mistaken. Anyway polishing exhaust pipes is not unknown - here we have a well known member providing the service. Probably the best exhaust pipe polisher in the business!

Details on PTU delete and VW coil pack swap
Further details on the R35/VR38 coil packs for Z32s can be found here. PE did the ground work with BDE providing the hardware. http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2651279/Pics-installed-and-impressions.html https://www.bde-performance.com/R35_coil.htm AFAIK the PE PTU delete harness is the same as the BDE one.

Assuming you are still using the 90 to '94 engine harness, this may be of interest to you when using early style (pintle) injectors: https://www.300zx-owners.club/forums/topic/141661-how-to-switched-power-modification-to-injectors-external-links/

300ZX TT - A18GCK
For reference - you can achieve very respectable results with this product: https://www.frost.co.uk/frost-ali-clean-alloy-aluminium-castings-cleaner/ The product is great at cleaning aluminium castings such as plenums and I've used it on a number of occasions with excellent results. Very little effort is required, just spray on and work in with a stiff nylon bristled brush and leave for a few minutes then rinse with water. The result above was achieved with three applications.
