  1. Lol. I wanted something that left every external part available to paint, still be able to pick up the pot to paint the underside and be easy to put back on and spin around. I did make a vid to show how stable it is but can’t get it to upload. (Obviously I’ve bunged up all the holes)
  2. I’ve started the power steering pot refurb today. It going very well, only very minor surface rust in a few places to deal with and a bloody good clean. All tapped up and I made a very sturdy stand for it to sit on so I can get round all the funny angles. One question i have is how long do long do I have to wait between primer, colour and lawyer. I know about 15 minutes between coats but do you think 24hrs between paint types?
  3. Well done Andrew, as already said, you’ve created and cared for a fantastic example. ?
  4. Did all “89-“94 JDMs have a brake light where the UK blank is then?
  5. Luke, at the Zcentre, sells replica spoilers. You will also find other designs from stores in America. Unfortunately they don’t fit as well as the OEM spoilers. The OEM are no longer available. You may be VERY lucky and find someone who has an OEM spoiler in their loft but you would need to remortgage to get them to part with it. The third option would be to repair a used OEM spoiler, as they all tend to “blister” (you can look into the cause of this if you don’t already know about it). I’ve seen a repaired spoiler (Art213), it had been repaired 18 months prior to me seeing it and it looked as good as new. Probably worth messaging him for more details. Hope this helps, Chris.
  6. 300zx stand at the NEC this year was fantastic. 5 amazing cars and their owners presented on an outstanding stage with members of the public all around the cars. ?
  7. Hi Lee. Many thanks for your reply. I’m not sure what any of that means but I like this bit “hopefully we won't see as many issues.“. Cheers, Chris.
  8. This is an issue I seem to be having on Face Book but I’m wondering if it’s an issue someone here might be able to fix. I get this message on a fair few posts in the 300zx group...
  9. A vote for Chris300 is a vote for change (at least three changes of colour on one car).
  10. What a collection of cars, each having their own reason to be voted car of the year. Ive now cast my vote and I hope to learn more about this car next year. (I wish we could have placed 3 votes to level the playing field)
  11. That might have been taking the piss, she only collected it for me as she lives near Luke and was down for a family Christmas get together. It was actually brought by my wife for me and I wasn’t going to risk it getting damaged under the tree. ?
  12. I forgot to post this picture today. My sister dropped of my cars early Christmas present...
  13. Hi and welcome to the club. Where about in Hampshire are you?
  14. That sound like a great spec! You probably could tick most of those box’s but it’s likely to be a fresh import. I believe Gorilla Imports are among the preferred importers here. Also it would be worth getting in touch with Jim at PowerZed. There aren’t many good 300zx in the country that Jim doesn’t know about and he would probably be the first to know about any potential cars coming onto market. As for the auto box I have to say that I think you should stick to your guns on that. I considered an auto conversion on a car I wanted and the idea just didn’t sit well with me.
  15. And yet again more issues. Please don’t be tempted to buy an appliance from these people, they been risking life’s and properties for too long. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-50811686
  16. ?‍♂️ Sorry about that. He did have it up for grabs over the summer but I guess he’s changed his mind. The second one you’ve posted looks cleaner to me (but again it’s hard to judge with only pictures). There are some very obvious differences between the two cars and a fair few not so obvious differences. Do you know the differences? I think what might be a good idea is for you to tell us what you want. Your budget looks great and you should be able to find the right car but we could help you more if you told us if you’ve any specific requirements. For example I love the UK 300zx, white, manual, FSH with heated seats.
  17. Well done mate and thanks for the support. ?
  18. Get your membership in mate then give https://www.300zx.co.uk/profile/8919-taz6665/ a PM. He has a wonderful black UK car. ?
  19. That is up there at the high end of pricing. I can see a few minor things that would bother me at that price but the two big issues I would have is the collapsing bolster on the driver side seat and the bubbling of the rear spoiler. Both items will cost a fair few pound to put right properly (with new OEM spoilers NLA). Obviously without driving it there isn’t much else to judge it by. I would like Jim to check it out if I was parting with £15k for a 300 too. I think for that money there is a black UK car that could be had and I don’t think it has the above issues. ?
  20. Thank Joel. It very satisfying and not overly expensive, very labour intensive though.
  21. That’s a great selection of cars you’ve gone through. Many of them are cars I would have brought but each time I have had the cash in my hand I keep coming back to the 300zx. This is my 3rd and I’ve refined what I like to be a UK manual. Good luck with your search and as Gaz said wait for the right one and enjoy it. ??
  22. Great news Howard. What a wonderful example to feature. I look forward to reading that. ?
