  1. Thank you for that link. It made for an interesting read! I'm also happy to chat in private if you wish. Trusting people with your pride and joy is one of the stressful as you're literally relying on that person or workshop to do the job and not wreck your car and leave scratches and mark's etc. Someone has already kerbed my once immaculate wheels on my mk1 Eunos...but I can't prove it. In future, I will be taking pics of my car before it goes into the workshop! When I owned my Twin Turbo Supra, a workshop that is now defunct after shoddy workmanship (including mine) nearly killed my engine, took a chunk out of my carbon fibre steering wheel and left dents and tool marks on my bonnet. Happy to chat in private buddy.
  2. That isn't a bad price at all for a manual conversion. Apart from the EGR delete, what changes do you recommend to be made? Now I know these cars need someone who knows what they're doing, so who do you use for work and maintenance? I've been to-ing and fro-ing whether to buy a Zed or another Supra in all honesty but I think I'm going to get a TT Auto Zed. Prices are lower and it's something far different from what I've had before. I can pick up a decent TT Auto SWB for £5k right now. Unfortunately, I can't buy until May 2020 at the earliest.
  3. I agree. I don't want a LWB Zed! I'm after a SWB one. If I can't find a manual TT in the time frame I'm looking for, then I'm going to have to buy an Auto TT, and eventually convert it to a manual. The Supra community do it all the time...I imagine its straight forward job? If I can find a SWB TT Manual, then great. If not, then I'll have to settle for a Auto version (for the meantime).
  4. Thank you very much for your comment. This makes me feel better about buying an Auto TT. I would need one that has been looked after of course, but there are quite a few for sale at the moment. Not many manual TT's in sight...and I'd rather not import one. I suppose what I could do is eventually convert my TT Auto to a TT manual. Can't be that hard of a job?? The Supra community do this all the time. I want an SWB one though. I just want to get a Zed now! Haha.
  5. Thanks very much for your comment. I think I'll try both and see what I like best, although a manual is always preferable to me (personally). I would quite like the "POWER" light coming on though haha. ? ?
  6. I second this. ? More pics please Joel ?
  7. Your Zed is lovely. Wow. ? Is it a 2+2? Yeah you're exactly right. I think I may have to import. I've been quoted £8k - £10k which will likely rise again next year by another £1.5k. There are a few TT Auto's for sale right now, but I'm not sure that I want an Auto to he honest. I'm predominantly after a SWB TT manual, but I could live with a LWB, it's not the end of the world! ? Yeah rust and the engine is my first priority. I would be willing to pay less for a TT manual if say it needs paint. I was quoted £2.5k for a re-start from a guy who knows his stuff. As long as the engine and gearbox is immaculate and rust the rust is either none or very minimal, then I'd be happy!
  8. My budget will be around £6k - £7.5k for May. That should be manual TT territory, right? Yeah I know prices will go up when Summer is on the horizon ?
  9. Thanks for your comment. That's a shame that some of the Auto boxes will be knackered. You can't beat a manual! They're a rare unicorn to find!! I'd rather not import from Japan as I'm looking at near on £10k for one, but I'm starting to think that I may have to unless I'm in the right place at the right time!
  10. Hi. Thank you...that's great advice. I've read up on these cars with potential issues, rust etc. There are some really cheap ones out there at the moment! I would love to go and view one, but I'd feel guilty to the seller as I would have no intention of purchasing, so it would be wasting their time. ? I've noticed that lots of Auto's are currently for sale. Most are NA's, some are TT's. What's the Auto box like on the Zed? ?
  11. That's the problem I have. I've been bitten recently when buying a sports car, and I'm not letting that happen to me again. I'd rather buy a Z on here as they're cherished and looked after. ?
  12. Yeah I was discussing this very one with phutumsch. It doesn't look too bad, but it's a little rough around the edges. Nothing TLC can't fix though. What's important is whether it has any rust issues and whether the engine is had been looked after. ??
  13. Hi Chris, and thanks. ?️ ? I live in Basingstoke (between Southampton and Reading).
