Hi guys Who would like to join me for New Years meal at the Red Lion at Chalton, near Waterlooville on one of the above dates? Time to be arranged but let’s say around 1900. This isn’t a car meet (however is a venue I’ve used for meets before, is a wonderful pub and somewhere I intend to set a few meets up in the summer) but a gathering for us South Coast members to say goodbye to 2019 and welcome in 2020. Please vote for the dates you can attend (this is a multi choice poll) and please DO NOT VOTE if you’ve no intention of going. Chris
  2. Thanks Andrew. I also found these which look good but I’ve no idea what the sizing is. Do you understand it?
  3. Has anyone got a cheap alternative to this part? I had to brake mine removing my bumper and now need to replace it and don’t want to pay that much for such a silly little part. Cheers, Chris.
  4. We could do that instead. ? Let’s call this one off the and start a new post with some possible dates. Mods can you please lock this.
  5. Next year we will have to try and arrange a date that suits all. ?
  6. Any one else interested in this? Ian, Andrew, Gary, Si, Howard...?
  7. Well my gramps took one look and said it’s a stag beetle larvae. Took a quick look on google and it looks the same to me. We do get a lot of stag beetles our way. I never thought stag beetles started out like that.
  8. I remember them talking about a hairy caterpillar that was dangerous over the summer but can’t find anything about large caterpillars. Ive emailed the pics to my gramps who is very knowledgeable about these things.
  9. I was just wondering around my garden racking up the leaves and found this massive thing. Any ideas what it is?
  10. Come on guys, we can do this. I really want to make the south coast the heart of the 300zx community. ?
  11. I’ve used them a few times and all other times the product has been as described. This time it was faulty but there was no fuss returning it, was free to return and I had a fast full refund. So all in all I’m very happy with them and will use again. On the other hand I wouldn’t touch TMS Motorsport with a rusty fuel tank strap! If anyone else was looking to do this modification Skylinefactoryltd on eBay said they had loads of good ones on the shelf. ?
  12. After the disappointment of the first carbon canister leaking I sent a message to Paul at Banzai Breakers. He assured me it shouldn’t leak and that his didn’t. Unfortunately when that one arrived it was also leaking (annoyingly someone knew it was leaking as it had been sent with a bung holding back the carbon). Third time lucky was a purchase from a company called Skylinefactoryltd. They suggested how I might fix my faulty one but I decided to send Paul’s back and order from them. It arrived in good time and condition. Ive still not fitted it but it’s now on the pile of things to do when I start rebuilding the front end. ?
  13. No interest in this then. Mods please lock and or delete the post.?
  14. Another amazing post. Thanks mate!
  15. Does Jim do the MOT or prep them for an MOT? After my wife’s MOT on the Skoda I’d be much happier knowing Jim has signed the 300 off for the year. ?
  16. I’m guessing they can only test what they can see? As for the picture, I’ll try and post something next time I’m back there. ?
  17. I had to borrow the wife’s car a few days ago. As soon as I set off I noticed the brake pad warning light was on and a horrible rumble when applying the brakes. I remembered that the MOT, which was about a month ago, had advised that the disc needed to be changed but the pads still had some meat on them (not that I would have kept the pad when changing the discs). I went out and set about replacing the discs and was horrified to find this... I also wanted to change the anti-roll bar linkage. The near side came off easy enough (which was the side that got flagged as having slight play in it on the mot) but the off side has proven to be a pig. The allan key hole has rounded as the nut has seized. So I’m planning on grinding a slot for a screw driver to sit in and try the nut again unless anyone has another method to try first? Chris.
  18. Its a lot for an uneducated, computer illiterate fool like myself to take in but I’m slowly getting there and enjoying it so far. ?
  19. Wow, what a find! Thanks Andrew.?
  20. Thanks. I’ll try this as it worked well on the rears and sounds like the same sort of product you’re finding sealing the lights on the front.
  21. Brilliant, thanks for the help guys. Joely, did you use silicon sealer to reseal the lights?
  22. I started cleaning my headlights today and want to be as thorough as possible. I think I can get a much better finish if I could separate the glass from the housing. Has anyone done this and if so what did you use as a gasket when refitting the glass as I can’t find new gaskets? Chris.
